I recently made a career change (from HR to a... drum roll please, a hairdresser) & moved to MA. It was one of the best decisions I've ever made to change careers since my quality of life has greatly improved. I love talking to people & learning about their lives. I do work 3 jobs so I enjoy working hard but also relaxing and having fun. Since my free time is limited I don't want to waste it. One day I hope to own my own salon.I am a very honest person & have no desire for drama in my life. I will say I hate watching sports on tv (see honesty) but love going to them in person. I figure it's guy time so go & be with your boys.I absolutely love music & it truly is a part of my soul.I can be what some would say...strong willed but it only comes from a good place. I am compassionate, kind, love to laugh and be light hearted, intelligent, articulate, a perfectionist and can be hard on myself which is something I am working on, hey none of us is perfect right? I know what want out of life & would rather be alone than ever settle. I am authentic & real & will call it like I see it if necessary. I am not interested in a guy who does drugs, a player or only interested in a hookup. I'm too old for that kind of stuff.Attraction & friendship are equally important & necessary for me. I also want a guy who will open the door for me and will throw me over his shoulder....but not at the same time. Also I'm a huge movie buff & kinda dude when it comes to movies. Well, where do I begin? Have no fear however, I did leave this area to go to school to become a music teacher. I've lived in western PA (and no I DO NOT worship the "terrible towel"!! I will admit I am a bit of a band nerd. I play in a few community/ professional ensembles in the area and I play the oboe. I consider myself to be a very independent person. I often know what I want and go after it. I definitely think being indecisive is annoying as well as being "flaky". I am extremely loyal, and easy to get along with. I like to say I have a good head on my shoulders and can think things through in a calm, rational way. But I am definitely full of creativity and am truely a child at heart. I love insane unique thinkers, it always makes for fun conversation. I don't mind debating either and will often play "devil's advocate" in conversation just help out a person when thinking through a hypothetical situation. I definitely enjoy watching football and going to Iron Pig games. One of my crowning achievements was singing the National Anthem at an Iron Pigs game. I like to read, as well as be outdoors to go on a hike. I have never fished before. I've always wanted to go on a hot air balloon ride, they just look like fun! If it's a spontaneous travel choice it excites me more. Hmmm, what do I look for in a guy. Not entirely sure, I have this philosophy that I'll just know it when I see it. Must be able to hold intelligent conversation. Religion plays a factor in my life, if you dont believe in it, I respect that however, don't knock my beliefs. I will say this though, if you can return my witty convesation or even laugh along with me, I will like you a lot for it. I want my date and I to feel like we have some sort of kinship at the end of the date. Friends are important. I dont open for a romantic connection unless I truly get to know the person. Call me sentimental, I have zero interest in strictly romantic pursuits... It makes the connection boring if you know the answer to the question. I think it would be a cool idea to go somewhere fun like to a pottery place to paint it. Or even to some sort of museum, to check out the sights. I also love being able to find a nice quiet place to absorb the surroundings and have good conversation or meditation.
