But I am not able to think of anything at this time. A little about me: I am looking to date for a possible relationship; however I always say it never hurts to make new friends. Some basics first: I absolutely will not date a smoker. And I will not have anything to do with drama issues; I am too mature and too educated to deal with that nonsense. As a full time single parent time away from parenting duties is rare, however does happen on occasion and I do make time for others when it is possible. Now that that is out of the way...I really am not good at this introduction stuff; in person I am shy but once I get to know someone I warm up pretty quick: 1) Hobbies...running, I love to run. I take very good care of myself, inside and out. Horseback riding, taking my daughter to the movies for a girls day out, and getting lost in a good book wrapped up in fleece on a cozy couch listening to a rain storm pass through are all favorite ways I enjoy passing the time.2) Goals and aspirations...well I am at a point in my life where I am ready to settle down, but it is very important to have a friendship foundation first. I love to travel! Would love to go to Australia one of these days, and there are a few European cities I would love to travel to that are on my bucket list; finding that someone who would enjoy traveling the world and visiting museums and soaking up local cultures would be wonderful.3) Talk about myself and what makes me unique: I am a single mom, I have a graduate degree and a very good career (I do not need anyone to take care of my daughter and I, this thing called life I have it covered...so don't send me a marriage proposal or a resume detailing how much you make and how well you could care for us...bravo to you for your successes but that is not what I am looking for). I love to read (I am a bit of a book worm), and I absolutely love museums of any kind! Love going to the opera, symphony, and theatrical performances. Any situation where there's an opportunity to learn something I'm game. I am a bit of a perfectionist (if you can't tell by this point), yet I love to find the beauty in the imperfections of this world. 4) Music...I enjoy all genres of music. Anything from Reggae to ClassicalWhat I am looking for in someone…well someone to share my life with for one. Life is too beautiful and exciting to spend it alone. Someone who can make me laugh (I have a tendency to take life a little too seriously), someone who takes care of them self, and someone who is willing to take the reins and be a man (no mama’s boys please). Someone who has old fashioned values and opens the door (not only for me but for anyone); respectful, kind, generous, a big heart, can carry an intelligent conversation yet act completely goofy at random. Someone who I can discover the world with.I am on here for genuine reasons, I do not get out to meet people (due to the single parent status-I don't drop my responsibilities as a parent for anyone) so please do not send me ridiculous or immature messages. I am not looking to move at 100mph into a full blown relationship either, so if that's your pace, or if you are looking to establish a relationship quickly solely to cohabitate for financial reasons or looking for a hook up or make out buddy, go look elsewhere. If you happen to have an overwhelming, consuming, or needy personality I am not the woman for you. And I am not looking to be an emotional crutch for anyone, if you can't handle your life circumstances that's your problem, go see a therapist. And physical attraction goes a long way. I'm not a picky person, but I do have standards. If you don't look like you take care of yourself in your picture I won't bother looking at your profile. And use proper spelling and grammar in your profile description (if it appears that you haven’t passed 9th grade English I will pass on you); and "a lot" is two words, not one! I have a degree in psychology and am very good at profiling others; if how you portray yourself in your photos won't mesh with my lifestyle or what I am seeking out in someone I won't respond to a message you send.All in all I need a man who can carry himself and handle life's circumstances (the good and the bad) and is secure in who he is and where he is at in life, and doesn't look to me to carry them financially...someone who is established in all aspects in their life and has to offer the same qualities in life that I have to offer...family, support, and love. Coffee dates are a good start...or the firing range. A dream date that I've always wanted to go on is a dancing lesson...ballroom or latin dancing.
