About Me

.I'm honest, loyal, caring and am looking for the same. I love the warm weather and am not so much a fan of the winter. I love the beach, boating, fishing and sitting by a campfire. I have my bachelors degree from UMASS in Sociology-Social Services, and am hoping to get started on my Master's in the near future. Ive always enjoyed working with children, and for the past 6 years have been working as a developmental specialist. This is working with children birth to 3, with developmental delays, diagnoses, or at risk. It can be tough at times, but I absolutely love the children. I love being outside in the warm weather, so anything outside..maybe a hike with my dog? Or dinner is always good, especially when its Sushi :)

Enjoying NYC, looking for someone to share in my adventures, are you adventurous? Love to play sports, surf, soccer and staying active. My other passions are dancing, traveling, trying new things, going to events, exploring NYC. My biggest attributes are I am helpful, cheerful, kind, outgoing, and nice to others. Why POF? thought it would be a great way to meet someone new that I would not happen to meet. I would like to meet someone who is also driven, outgoing, active, adventurous and fun.

Please note: if you have a bunch of shirtless pics on your profile or no pics at all, please don't waste either one of our time. I won't reply. That being said...I have been called, "a really cool girl," "honest and genuine," a bit "old school," a "tough cookie" and a "hard worker." I think all of them are true. I value honesty and goodness over anything else. I always tell the truth and would hope for the same from the people that are close to me. Being a "tough cookie" comes with my profession. I am a middle school English teacher and if you have any experience with teenagers, then you get it. I absolutely LOVE my job. I did not become a teacher for the summer vacations because believe me, it wouldn't be worth it. I do what I do because it just...fits. It's not easy, but very rewarding, TOUGH! So I guess that's where the "hard worker" description comes from. In terms of the "old school" description, I think that old fashion values are underrated. There is something to be said about chivalry on a man's part and affection and attentiveness on a woman's. I will never get tired of a man pulling out a chair or running ahead to hold a door for me or bringing me flowers "just because..." As for the "cool girl" label...I don't ask. I'll just take it! I'd like to think I'm cool. lolThings I love (in no particular order): classic rock,THE BEACH, a positive outlook (you get what you give...),cheeseburgers and beer, roller coasters, quiet confidence, , my dog, a great bottle of wine, kissing, running, a great, comfy pair of jeans, really spicy food, Sunday morning breakfast, boats, high heels, laughing til it hurts, pure kindness, sunrises, thunderstorms, The Beatles, workin out, cooking,(I'm quite good at it) amusement parks, tattoos (I have 4 small, discreet ones)I'm looking to find someone to share the fun and excitement with, a partner in crime, best friend, lover, and ultimately, eventually find "the one." I'm at the point in my life where I'm happy, I'm settled and I'm ready for something more than just another first date. I'm not a serial dater or into endless *** texting. I believe the best way to get to know someone in this crazy online dating world is to send a couple of ***, exchange numbers and make plans to soon meet for coffee or a drink. Why waste time with anything else?So if you are a serial dater or just looking for someone to fill up your weekend with, I'm not the girl for you.I would die happy if I could live at the beach, travel to exciting places a few times a year and have a really good cheeseburger and a beer every now and then. Actually, I'd like to go on a mission to find the best cheeseburger in NY. Any suggestions? I always think a quick meet at first is best...a cup of coffee always works to see if there is any chemistry. If there is, then we can plan a real first date, but let's chat first. You can tell a lot by a telephone conversation. Look forward to talking with you :)

I love to camp, fish, hike... If you can help me perfect my horseshoe skills... I would be forever grateful.... I'm trying to win the family horseshoe trophy at our annual camping trip!I have been told I have a great sense of humor... I find humor the best quality in a man.I value a man who doesn't play games, who has manners, and is not arrogant. But basically I don't want a man who is so self absorbed and pretty that I may wrinkle his clothes. And if u get super angry if someone steps on your sneakers... It would never work lol.I have a 10 year old son who is my heart. He is kind, thoughtful, holds the door open for strangers, says please, thank you, sir and maam.. and has an amazing soul. We often dance around the house and try out new dance moves. He plays many sports, but likes football the best. Most importantly, he is not a jerk. If you have kids, great... If your kids are jerks... Not great. I have a big extended family I love and have grown to really enjoy their company.I have a lot of gfs and really value their time and conversation.I love wine but there is nothing more fun than a pitcher of beer on a Saturday with good friends and family. Trust is very important. I don't like games... Life is too short... Let's just be real. Up for discussion. Maybe coffee or a drink and app.
