I am always willing to try something once and maybe even twice; unless raw fish or bungee jumping is the case. I can have fun doing pretty much anything! I love seeing live bands, cooking dinner for my girlfriends or going out to a fun restaurant, trying to exercise my pleasantly plump dog, working out at the gym, hiking, movies, Law and Order, diet coke, cleaning, cuddling up with a good book and spending time with my family. I've also recently started taking boxing classes, which I love! Don't worry, I listen to all different sorts of music. A great 80's cover band is the best! I do have to admit that Bon Jovi when he was at Soldier Field, put on an amazing show.My family and friends would describe me as a caring, motivated, focused, smart, and authentic person. I would do anything for those I care about, without asking for anything in return. I've also been described as a very open and warm person- I'll meet new friends on airplanes, or in the grocery store line.What I'm looking for;You should be someone that values life, and cherishes loved ones around you. You're proud of your accomplishments, but not arrogant. You would love to take ballroom dancing classes, if I really wanted to :-), and power through it with a smile. You are ok with asking for help and leaning on someone else. You'll love it when I make new experimental dishes for you, and are tactful if its not a do-over. You would want to spend time with me, and yes, we would both do a little investing in the others hobbies. You're educated and to the point in your life that you want that best friend and ready to settle down.If you are looking to casually date, want a barbie doll or are selfish and only do what you want all the time, then I am not your girl. Don't be offended but I rarely respond to a "hi" or "hi, you're cute", or scripted 'all about you' messages.     Sometimes these are the most boring things to read... and, I hate to talk about myself, so I will try to make this short and sweet. Even in ***degrees, I still find myself smiling when I wake up each morning. I have a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education and when I couldn't find a teaching job I decided to go to Beauty School. I have been doing hair for 9 years, have managed and owned a salon and prefer to just be a stylist and make my clients beautiful! They are very well mannered and will steal your heart. I love to be outdoors... hiking, road biking, laying by the pool and being lazy... I am a fashion fanatic and may have a bit of a shopping addiction. I actually turned a bedroom in my house into a giant walk in closet. I love to be around good friends and in good company. I am SUPER close with my family, I see them at least weekly, and would love to find someone who appreciates that and who value's their family as well. I love to travel and get out of town as much as possible. I love music, and take in a lot of different concerts. I like a wide variety of music, can't really tolerate super heavy metal or techno, and my heart melts for R&B. I do not take life very seriously, and I love to laugh... so if you can make me LOL (haha) you have got brownie points right from the start. I also love sports. I love to go to a game, or to a sports bar and watch one on tv. To be very honest, I don't know what I want to be when I grow up. Right now I am concentrating on living each day to the fullest and loving the person that I am. I am at a very good place in my life right now so I am going to ride it out and see where it takes me. I am looking for someone who I have a connection with, and that may come in the form of a friendship, and that is great too. I don't like to push relationships, and just because we may not have that spark doesn't mean that we couldn't be good friends. I guess I got a little long winded... sorry for the novel. I guess there is no perfect first date, because with different people you would want to do totally different things.If I had to plan a perfect first date for me, it would be doing something outdoors... going on a hike, to the zoo, a baseball game... somewhere we could chat and get to know each other. Then maybe catching a happy hour somewhere and get some food and a couple drinks.
