Hey, I'm Dee! I'm a really laid back girl, enjoying the last few months of my undergrad student life before I have to go back out into the real world again! I'm open to getting up to some trouble once in a while but these days I prefer to relax and be easy going. I'm usually just as happy to stay at home and make dinner, watch a movie etc, as I am to go out of the same. I love to read a wide variety of fiction when I'm not overloaded with theory for class.; I love all animals (except the creepy crawlies..) and am happiest outdoors. I am.. I guess, pretty girly in a tom-boy sorta way. I like wearing dresses, have long hair, wear make-up.. all that stuff, but I'm not afraid to get mud on my shoes or break a nail either (it does kind of hurt though). I love expanding my music library when I meet new people! I like a wide range of music and would like to be introduced to more! Not so much rap though.. Yay! Another list!-sci, and hope to get a job (ASAP after graduation!!) working with marginalized people, creating programs to help vulnerable populations and build better communities! If I got a second life I would either go into animal welfare or anthropology... or astronomy... or sociology... Okay, really, I feel like 10 lives might be enough to do and be all the great things I'd like to, but I'll take this one and do the best I can! I can be a bit shy or super outgoing, it really depends on the situation. I have always been attracted to both girls and guys but I guess I've always been a bit shy with girls that I like. I understand why a lot of girls specify they are not interested in girls who are 'curious', 'experimenting' or even bi, but not everyone has a complete grasp of their sexuality at an early age, or for that matter, a sexual identity easily defined! Hello.I am giving meetville a try as I am quite shy. It can be difficult for me to meet people because I have my circle of friends and they just sort of all happened by accident. It seems meeting someone by design is a bit impossible-- especially given that the places where one is supposed to do that are not as conducive to conversation as they are at abusing the low end of their stereo system. I am not the sort of person to thrive in those situations. I am not uniformly opposed to them. They can be quite fun. I also don't know how people communicate with one another in those situations. Am I supposed to go and scream in somebody's ear and hope they're okay with that? Do I wave my arms around sexily (not a word)? Alright. Enough of that. I enjoy skateboarding during the summer (although I've never been very good because I am dreadfully clumsy) and I have also recently taken up skimboarding. I play and record my own music. I spend a majority of my time making music or reading. As for what I would like to do for the rest of my life, I am not entirely sure. I think I will continue to pursue a future in academics while also recording music and writing. I am majoring in philosophy and hope to one day engage in post-graduate studies specializing in the nature of mind (because it combines my passion for philosophy with my interest in neuroscience). I am very focused in my areas of interest but it is not essential that someone have the same interests as me. A passion for anything is something I find admirable. I really enjoy learning new things.--+Juliet-- I could go on, but I shouldn't, because this is probably getting boring.I really love to read and I am never without a book. I can read just about anything that is non-fiction and be content. I also enjoy fiction, but I can be quite picky about it. My favorite authors are Dostoevsky and Camus. I like television shows more than I care to admit...I think silliness is grossly underrated. I think intelligence is insanely attractive. While I can be very shy at first, I am a very uninhibited person... I am looking for someone I can share adventures and experiences with. I need someone to look the other way when I decide to play pirate in Dollarama-- or better yet, someone to grab a foam sword and join me. Let's go sledding and get hot chocolate.What I am looking for:-A sense of humour is vital. I like to laugh and make other people laugh. I don't think I am ever entirely serious (which may be a weakness). -Honesty. I am a very honest person. It rarely occurs to me to lie even when I am supposed to. I find it confusing when others are not direct.-Passion--I connect with people who have hobbies and interests outside of the social sphere. I would never condemn someone for gossiping... but I find it to be dreadfully boring. I hope it is helpful rather than cumbersome. I do not have a preference, but I have some good ideas. :) I am happy with any date that allows us to get to know one another.
