I'm Kristen. I have a Bachelor's in Graphic Design. I'm a freelance Graphic Designer and work two jobs. I'm sarcastic and quirky. I collect concert memorabilia and I love to paint and do crafts. I like art, rock music, and cats. I have been to countless concerts. I have a solid group of friends but I'm always looking to make new ones. I have tattoos and piercings, my nails are always painted, and my hair color is never the same for long. Currently I am on a journey to better my health and myself, but I'm not obsessed with working out or the gym. I have my own sense of style and if I'm trendy it's probably by accident. I believe in karma, sarcasm, that things happen for a reason, and that you should do things that make you happy. Keep in mind that I am not perfect... I'm not beauty queen pretty and I'm not everyone's definition of "cool." But I am myself.     I'm a student in my last semester of undergrad (I'll be done in December, yay!). My majors are environmental science and biology, and I have a minor in math. Until recently, I was planning on pursuing a career in wildlife conservation/biology. When I took a genetics class in the spring, I was *** by the subject. Long story short, I am now looking at various MS and PhD programs for evolutionary biology and genetics. My education is very important to me, so I work hard. However, I try to remember to have fun! I'm not all work and no play. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I love to read (esp. fantasy), and I am always in the middle of multiple books. When I'm not out and about during the weekend, I like to stay in and relax. Maybe watch a movie or play video-games. Being in the D.C. area has its pros, such as a short metro ride to the Smithsonian. I've grown up in this area, but I've never gotten tired of walking around the mall and exploring the museums and monuments. I also like to go on hikes with my buddies.
