About Me

!When I was 17, I joined the Navy for 4 yrs. and did aviation electronics. I worked on the communications equipment for the F-18s. Stationed at Va. Beach, where sometimes you could just watch the jets practice touch and go's, with their engines at full blast and the after burners lighting up the night. It was truly an experience that was beyond amazing! I have a job I've been at now for the past 17 yrs, that I love, and people I work with that are like family.On the personal side, I have three boys, who are ages 21, 18 and 14. And, who, as all parents that are honest, will agree, have made me laugh, cry and feel things, I'm not even sure there are words to describe. And, I adore them but am also extremely happy to have shared custody with their father. A few of my favorite things: Favorite color is pink... favorite sound to hear is kids laughing... favorite thing to watch is sunrises and sunsets (especially on a beach just about anywhere)... AND, favorite food group is definitely ICE CREAM :)!!I like to shoot pool or play darts, though I don't go out to bars much. I like listening to all kinds of music from Rock to Country (well, I come from down south, what did you expect?). I also love to travel and have been all over the US for both work and pleasure.;;!!!In terms of what I'm looking for, I've heard it said, when we find the right person, it's like finding a missing puzzle piece, it just fits, without being forced, you know it because it feels right. Soooo, I guess that's what I'm looking for......

    I'm a 40-something (*see update below) that doesn't feel much older than 30...I play my music too loud (according to my kids), drive a little too fast...and make my coffee a little too strong. I don't have a specific age range in mind, but I do listen to current music (yes, that includes rap, alt. rock, etc. - country, not so much) and still like to go out (occasionally) to a club/bar and dance. I especially like some of the live music outdoor concerts in the summer. (Actually, almost ANY summertime outdoor activity - bonus points if it includes water!)Basically, I'm a happy person and can't go too long without a good laugh...I tend to believe the best in people (until they prove me wrong)and am easy-going to a point (the Sicilian side can be brought to the surface when necessary!) Nothing unique here - I think a good first date would be meeting for coffee. Maybe some quiet place for a drink if all goes well! Someplace conducive to some talking would be good. Usually it's apparent fairly quickly if there's any chemistry.
