About Me

I've been on other websites and I don't like to read 3 pages of a description so let me make this short and sweet. I have two grown sons who no longer live with me and have families of their own. So yes I am a grandmother and it's the best. I am a professional and have worked at my job for over 22 years. I am not that tied down to it and can take time off just about whenever I want to . I have 2 dogs that mean a lot to me but they are way too big to carry around in my purse. I hope to retire eventually and look forward to doing some more traveling. So much to see. I love the outdoors, dining out, the beach (who doesn't love the beach but if you don't it maybe a deal breaker), mountains, lakes, skiing, walking, riding my bike and at times just like staying home. I love coffee, wine, fro yo but not crazy about sushi (Ok I will eat vegetable/crab rolls and I do like cooked fish). I love roller coasters, Disneyland, county fairs, concerts, car shows, Baseball, Hockey and motocross. I love animals, kids, movies and gardens. I am at times too passive but will stand up for what is right. I am loving, nurturing and forgiving. I am respectful, honest and a good teammate/friend. I guess that is enough for now. If you think you might be interested or would like to know more just let me know. Depends on how much we have communicated before meeting. It might just be for a one hour coffee and conversation or lunch. If we both feel a connection then we can move on from there.     Hummm.....Describe myself.....Well.. I love to laugh. I try to find humor in almost everything. I'm a music lover and honestly I think the only time I don't hear some type of music in my head is when I'm sleeping. I'm mom to an adult child. Being a mom has been the best thing I've ever done and the thing I'm most proud of. I'm not super physical and I have to make myself go to the gym. It's just not high on my priority list unless I have time to spare. Plus my job is kind of physical and do I want to go workout after 8 hours of a physical beating? Probably not. I don't do out-; such but I really believe that for the right person, all things are possible. It's the give and take thing. Besides, I like to think I'm open minded and would try something I've never done if I met someone I knew it was important to. (I do have a line though as I'm very afraid of heights) I like to dress up for a nice evening and I like to lounge around in my comfys. I love movies and live entertainment with music being my very favorite. I love to people watch but don't do much of that lately. I work with the public and for the most part seeing them all day is enough.I've been told I'm a good listener, that I'm funny and sassy... Sassy? does that mean "smart a--?" I'm kind of independant but that's really because I've had to be. As for the "dating" thing on my profile, I use that term because it's what has to be done to get the end result. I'd love to find someone for the long term but I don't want to put pressure on anything. I'd like to let it grow and form in it's own time. I'm not a serial dater. Reality? I haven't been on a date in over a year. We'll see if this site changes that.So I hope you were able to find out what you needed to know from this profile. I feel the first meet should be very light so you can figure out if you really want to spend a "date night" with that person.For a first meet, it's just more comfortable to meet for a drink and a little conversation somewhere easy. Drink does not mean alcohol. It means whatever you drink. But it has to be in a place where normal conversation can be heard.
