The Romantic era of classical music is most evocative for me. French, Italian, American and Chinese cuisine are favorites, as are nice Chardonnays and Merlot.Hemingway is my favorite author (I've read "The Sun Also Rises" many times & especially enjoy it in the summer while lounging by the pool or when traveling abroad.) I find Proust and Chateaubriand to be the most inspiring French writers.I love architecture more and more and truly appreciate the bountiful character in LA's homes, apartments, and commercial buildings. I think starting as friends is a good place.. and if it leads to more, than so be it. And if it doesn't... Well then we both have a friend that we can count on.... I do have a sense of humor..Something you have to have when you are single. I do like to joke, laugh, and smile.. It lessens the stress of life, and it just passes that slow time in the day better...:) Truly is good for the soul.... I am just me...I am not Barbie..( I'm working on it) I will not bend and break. I love the simple things in life.. yes... the outdoors and the in ...Traveling, I love to drive to places on a whim...Antiques, If it ain't broken, rusty, or beat up..It doesn't come in the house...lol..Hey...I just described what I feel like when my feet hit the floor in the morning...LOL.. gardening, taking care of, and remodeling my home, cuddling, a good time out with friends or a lazy night by the fire with a good beer or wine... Oh.. and of course, my job,(I work for a great company) and a good meal. Arts and the talents of people... Sports, swimming and floating in the pool on a lazy Sunday afternoon... Watching an eagle fly takes my breath away... Or seeing a batch of turkeys walk up the road. Takin walks with my dogs in the woods. Feeling the air against my skin, the warmth of the sun on my face and the cool breeze of a blustery winter day.. The smells of fresh linens, a carnival, the softness of a newly dried towel, the feeling of having arms encircle me and pull me in for that long warm hug.....Mmmmm..smell of breakfast cooking... simplicity... There are so many other things that I truly love, and want to do.. But as we all have in common... Most of those things are so much more fun when there is someone else along to laugh at or hold on to while while doing them.. Hmmm.. As we grow , we learn that even the one person that wasn't supposed to ever let you down probably will. You WILL have your heart broken probably more than once and it's harder every time. You'll break hearts too, so remember how it felt when yours was broken. You'll fight with your best friend. You'll blame a new love for things an old one did. You'll cry because time is passing too fast, and you'll eventually lose someone you love. So take too many pictures, laugh too much, and love like you've never been hurt because every sixty seconds you spend upset is a minute of happiness you'll never get back. Never change yourself for someone, add to yourself with them. And never regret anything that makes you smile. Don't be afraid that your life will end, be afraid that it will never begin.
