About Me

Howdy! I am an honest, committed Christian lady who is looking to meet a great friend, first, then leave it up to God as to where the relationship might go from there. I am divorced after a 25 year marriage, divorced over a year now. I have 3 kids who are grown & out on their own and 2 precious grandchildren. I am very family-oriented. My relationship with God, my family, and my church are all very important to me and a huge part of my life. I love lighthouses and I love to take long train rides. I love to ride on the back of a motorcycle too!! I love to laugh and enjoy life and hope to find someone who has the same interests and can enjoy getting to know each other and be totally up front and honest with each other as we go. I am looking for a man who will hold my hand and be glad to put his arm around me and show the world that he is with me when we are out. I would be open to planning the first date with the man I will be going out with. I am easy to please and can enjoy a nice talk over a cup of coffee or a nice dinner with a glass of wine and conversation. I am easy going and I love to laugh and love to cuddle.

Woman. 53 years old. Zodiac sign: Taurus.

Looking for: man. In age: 50-60

I subscribe to a "Think deeply, speak gently, love much, laugh a lot, word hard, give freely and be kind" way of living, where integrity, honesty, trust, laughter and kindness frame my picture of love, life, levity, and everything that is boldly colored in between. I believe that "coloring outside the lines" promotes greater self-discovery and risk, both of which are extremely important and yes, attractive, sexy and desirable, to me as a writer, educator and most importantly, a parent. When we restrict ourselves to a neatly designed and prescribed, flawless template of how we're supposed to look and behave, we inevitably are not being our authentic selves. For me, to embark on a relationship not being who we are is inevitably destined to fail because in the end, it's based on pretense and falsehood***not the ideal foundation for a loving, lasting relationship. My mission as a special educator is to individualize *** broken and bitter high school kids who have been through serious and often, life threatening traumas in their lives, where school took a back burner to just making it through the day. Our mission as loving and caring educators is to restore their faith in "man/womankind," and convince them how much they matter~~ despite their belief to the contrary~~ to themselves, and the people in their lives who love them. When I'm not trying to make the lives of these kids better, I love to hike, power walk, play with my dogs for hours, blog, read, and sip ridiculously good coffee with ridiculously awesome people. I find intellect extremely attractive .I also believe that you can tell whether a relationship is going to work with one kiss. So much can be said in that one kiss..... I have no set script for a first date other than it happens after some thoughtful, meaningful, and yes, flirtatious conversations, via phone, text, etc., that creates a very welcome flurry of butterflies in my stomach that lets me know that we won't be checking our watches every four minutes once we take the plunge and meet. Outdoor cafes; out-of-the-way coffee shops that at least 'offers' Fair Trade coffee with their other selections; independent book stores; beautiful parks conducive for walking and talking; and if all of that feels right, an "evening" date at a candle-lit pub or wine bar that offers tasty crudites and atmosphere.

All natural, genuine, wholesome, healthy... nothing phony, or inauthentic. What more can you ask for? You can believe that what I've written here is true. Honestly. And you can be assured that I am who I say I am, the correct age, the correct height, the correct single status, the correct education level, accurate traits and interests, with current pictures { although I've been told that they don't do me justice }I'm a funny, articulate, professional, warm & affectionate, interesting & intelligent, who is looking for an available, healthy, masculine, fun, honest, self-assured, super guy for Life Part II ! I'm all in and hoping we find each other. I love pets, family, reading, art, Red Sox ( hopeful, always hopeful ), live music, museums, hikes, comedy clubs, leaf-peeping rides, conversations over coffee, board games, lawn games, ( no head games ), gardening, weekend escapes, mountains, laughing, gym, kids, sunflowers, the smell of ocean spray, sun on my skin, and steaks ! Always looking to try something new...have you something to share? Maybe you're a great dancer, play an ***, love remodeling, a seasoned traveler, a trivia buff, ride horses, play golf or tennis and willing to teach, sail or boat, great chef, do yoga, tai-chi or Pilates ? Maybe you play a sport and need a super-fan? Maybe you're a primo fire builder who knows exactly how to steal a romantic moment? Or perhaps you're just excellent at 'being' ?I want to explore what life has to offer...travel, day trips, antique hunting, beaches, B&B's, historical sites, museums, sporting events, theatre. Last minute plans are a great adventure in my mind, not a drama producing ordeal. It absolutely would be more fun with you...Let's plan it and go! I'm semi retired and my schedule is my own doing, though I do like to volunteer with many different efforts.Should you enjoy what you've read and want to learn more, let's meet! I can promise that I will treat you with respect , always be honest, and never take you, your time, or feelings for granted. I'm thinking it's what decent, mature people do. We have every right to expect from others, what we expect from ourselves, agree ? Please be at the same place in life, healthy, educated, passionate, curious about the world around us, honest and happy. Please be honest about actually having time in your life for someone new. It feels as if I've been waiting so long to find you, but good things are said to be worth the wait. And, you really have been looking for me too, you just don't know it yet :)" He is the fool who has seen a diamond and has chosen glass" ~ Downton AbbeyGo ahead...say hello 1) a quiet drink or coffee to talk2) a crazy-ass adventure filled with laughter :***a mystery date like no otherYour call.

I am shy at first but once you get to know me I am not so quiet. lol. I am a strong supporter of our military and i am very passionate about that. I enjoy nature, love to go camping being near the water. enjoy fishing and walks when you can just enjoy being with someone you care for. Love being out by a campfire at night enjoying the stars. I enjoy going out and listening to live bands music and dancing (not very good at it but I try). I love the occasional trip to Beale street and spending time visiting the different clubs. B.B. Kings is my favorite club to go to,they always have great music. I know it needs to happen but I don`t have to see it. First date maybe a nice dinner in public place. Then maybe a ride around the lake or a walk in the park. No great expectations just a way to break the ice and see what happens.
