I am an energetic, active, sarcastic, loving-life girl. Summer is my favorite season, around water makes me happy. The only good thing about winter in KS is sitting with someone special in front of a roaring fire. I seldom have the TV on, but make exceptions for collegiate basketball and football and professional football. I am open to new activities, pushing the limit-except of course, jumping out of a completely operational airplane, or tied to a bungee cord and jumping off solid ground.I have a love/hate relationship with running. Often I dread getting started, but the sense of accomplishment when I am finished out-weighs the dread. At one time would only consider the treadmill when it was too cold/hot to run outside, but I admit, I have become a "treadmill whore" of late, pounding the darn thing ***times a week. A couch potato, I am not. The grass does not grow under my feet.I am very active would rather be at the park, at a festival, or just walking around the neighborhood after work, rather than sitting around getting old. They are my strength. My youngest one is following her calling to serve others. My oldest one, her mother's keeper: guiding me, scolding me, praising me, loving me. These girls make me proud.I have re-discovered myself since turning 50, and I LIKE it. This stage of our lives has so much to offer and the time and resources to do them.This is proving to be the best time of my life; the glass ALWAYS half-full, not half-empty.     Well, so here I go, first time trying on-line dating. This takes some courage I see. I am as dependable as a DeWalt drill or set of Craftsman tools (ha, my brother helped me out with that line.) I am a romantic, and love watching sunsets, cooking dinner together, sitting in front of the fireplace with a nice bottle of wine open, hand holding, receiving unexpected flowers, oh, and really really love when a man surprises me in my driveway with a shovel or huge snow blower after a big snow fall.... ;-) I'm as comfortable in tight jeans, as yoga pants, as formal attire, and enjoy wearing each. I love trying new things, and I don't always color inside the lines...And you? I'm looking for a man who is honest, genuine and trustworthy. I like a man who is confident, fun, honest, attractive, active, and outgoing. I like a man who has a passionate interest in life, knows himself, can express his feelings, and has a strong work ethic. A romantic is really a plus. Ultimately, I would love to meet someone who enjoys similar activities, is happy, and in the same good place in life. I'm looking for a long-term relationship with someone to share my life with, and ideally grow old with, spending winters walking the ocean beaches holding hands.
