...English lady that loves to travel.My family is a big part of my life although my children are grown....adore my granddaughters and try to see them whenever possible.Enjoy a quiet night in with a movie or a good book and a glass of wine.. but can also get dressed up and head out for an evening with friends.Not into the bar scene anymore but enjoy going out dancing with a group of friends and cutting loose.Teach school through the day and teach dance in the evening..dance is a vocation and a life love.Favourite music is jazz and blues or classic rock and love to listen to live bands.Enjoy all sports (except basketball) and English football is a passion I've had since I was 4 and my Dad took me to my first game.If you don't like sports, I doubt we would get along.I think it would be wonderful to find that certain someone that I can't live without but in reality and at my age, it would be great to find someone who is intellectually similar, possesses a sense of humour, a longing to travel and a willingness to compromise certain aspects of their life sufficiently that we can be together.     I am an energetic, active, sarcastic, loving-life girl. Summer is my favorite season, around water makes me happy. The only good thing about winter in KS is sitting with someone special in front of a roaring fire. I seldom have the TV on, but make exceptions for collegiate basketball and football and professional football. I am open to new activities, pushing the limit-except of course, jumping out of a completely operational airplane, or tied to a bungee cord and jumping off solid ground.I have a love/hate relationship with running. Often I dread getting started, but the sense of accomplishment when I am finished out-weighs the dread. At one time would only consider the treadmill when it was too cold/hot to run outside, but I admit, I have become a "treadmill whore" of late, pounding the darn thing ***times a week. A couch potato, I am not. The grass does not grow under my feet.I am very active would rather be at the park, at a festival, or just walking around the neighborhood after work, rather than sitting around getting old. They are my strength. My youngest one is following her calling to serve others. My oldest one, her mother's keeper: guiding me, scolding me, praising me, loving me. These girls make me proud.I have re-discovered myself since turning 50, and I LIKE it. This stage of our lives has so much to offer and the time and resources to do them.This is proving to be the best time of my life; the glass ALWAYS half-full, not half-empty. Age is about spirit and soul, not a number. If you are looking for a fixer upper, that's not me. I don't need fixed.If you like your women a little crazy, not me. I think having a sense of humor and being "glass is half full" approach to life is important. I am a positive person and think it would be best to find someone who shares a similar approach to life. It would be nice to have a partner who enjoys doing things together, sharing the simple things in life as well as our own little adventures. I think communication is the key to a healthy relationship, compromising and seeing both sides of the coin before one 'digs' their heels in on something. I care more about people than things, but have been very blessed in on all fronts. I am a person of deep faith and I see God everywhere when I am in nature and I figure if He can make all of that work so perfectly, he must have a pretty good plan for us mere humans... I try and walk out my life by following Christ's example. And I have a really great life, filled with lots of peace and enjoyment. Sharing this with a partner would be important to me. It would be nice to sit on a park bench, go for a walk, sit and have coffee anything that would afford us the opportunity to chat and get to know each other. I love to have fun, but I value life way to much to try and force date...if you know what I mean...I think getting to know someone should come naturally and I think the best way to achieve this is to talk honestly, listen intently and to do it some place /quite/peaceful and relaxing.After that, if we 'click' let's hike mountains, laugh until we cry and have fun while we grow a friendship and whatever else may come after that...
