About Me
I love being connected with someone, hugging, kissing, cooking, enjoyin cocktails, gardening, pool time with a special woman. I love a self confident, passionate woman who isn't afraid to be a little wild... ;) I like order, a place for everything and everything in it's place although I don't always achieve it and the older I get, the less it bothers me. I have also learned that it isn't really that important as long as everyone is happy and healthy.
I love all kinds of animals, have had a cattle egret, a red tailed hawk, broad winged hawk, ferrets, ducks, geese, goats, etc., as well as many dogs and cats over the years. I have a beautiful tortoise colored cat named Patches, that adopted me in May of ***and gave me five kittens that Father's Day. I have a small dog 13 yrs old I call Bean, inside, and had a rooster named Angelo that loved to come in and hang out too, lol. He was taken by a predator :( RIP Angelo. Outside, I have 11 chickens and a 15 year old goat named Sunshine that was born here Feb. 23, ***.
I have two girls, ages 33 and 36, both are married, with my oldest having three bugs (6, 9 and ***and my youngest had a baby girl July of ***& also has a 6 year old girl, born 26 hours before my older daughter's youngest girl....Love watching them interact....
I don't like running with the pack as a rule, although I am comfortable in almost any social situation. I prefer one on one time, date nights and weekends for music, huggin, kissin, cocktails, dinner and exploring the senses... I like laying in front of the fire, sitting on the deck, lounging in the pool, talking about almost anything, honest communication.
I have dated from a distance in the past, but have to be honest in saying that it is not for me. It is pretty much impossible to be spontaneous, with each interaction having to be planned. I am comfortable here at home with my critters living a very quiet, peaceful life and am looking for someone close enough for getting to know one another more easily than being at a distance allows, unless of course, you don't mind driving to see me...
I took a pretty good hit when the economy tanked back in ***, closed my commercial concrete construction business of 25 years in ***, gave up a rental property in Statesville I owned for 11 years in ***and also my home of 25 years in ***. I decided to not jump right back on the hamster wheel, you know, living to work. I've have been building custom wood products such as cabinets, farm tables, benches etc., building this into my career; it takes years for overnight success. I retired fall of ***and am practicing the Art of Relaxing. ;***I know what I am looking for and am willing to wait. I find that many women do not show their pictures or "post current photos" and many as it seems, don't even take the time to read my profile or their own for that matter to see if we match. I am also looking for someone who as with me, their children are grown up and out of the house for the most part. Someone who has the ability get together, although I don't have a problem sharing time with family as I love my own dearly. I appreciate the attention, but would prefer only women confident enough to show their current pictures online or through *** like to see who I am communicating with.
I have always tried to respond to everyone who winks or writes, but for those of you that haven't read my profile and don't match, I will no longer respond, my apology in advance. Chemistry usually starts out with a good visual energy as I am sure most of us scan the pictures, then once we find someone that is visually appealing, we read their profile. I am looking for a confident adult woman to share quality time with, but I don't want to play cat and mouse games.
