Oh boy. These are never fun. Here goes:I'm a bluenoser, born and bred. My parents split when I was 11, and I was raised by my father to be kind, helpful, and independent. My mom and I weren't close as I was growing up, however we have since reconnected and enjoy a fairly strong relationship. I'm an only child, though I have 3 step-After high school, I decided to turn my post- I had never been to NL, and didn't know a soul, but darn it - I was gonna go anyway. I lived in St. John's for 4 years and LOVED it. I'd love to move back someday, if the stars should align. :) After St. I very much enjoyed the city, but I moved there during the recession and life proved to be a struggle. You heard me. I lived in Nunavut for a year and a half, and I honestly feel a little homesick for it every day (weather and all)... I've only been back in NS for a few months, and it admittedly stings a little. ;)As for interests, I'm a nut for music. All day, every day. I listen to a lil' bit of everything (and not a "little bit of everything" like most folks say....I really mean it...you get it....). I love film as well, books (though University admittedly ruined me for reading...I'm trying to get back into it), pop culture, FOOD (I love ethnic foods especially - Thai, Indian, Japanese, etc), history...oh, and genealogy. If you let me, I'll trace your family ***full geek out. Yes, really.I am generally soft-hearted, but I can certainly speak my mind if I feel it's necessary. I love animals...babies...people...stereotypical girly stuff haha. I love to LAUGH, and make others laugh. I'm quirky, accepting, and loving. I believe in respect for all people. I have an interest in politics (though you'll never see me take an active part), I love my country, and I fiercely believe in supporting the issues that you feel strongly for.I am on this site with the goal to find a long lasting and loving relationship. I hope to find someone with similar goals, aspirations, and interests, however I look forward to talking about how different we are at the same time. I will be entirely open and up front by saying that I intend to have children, and would love to have the space for a dog or two or three someday as well. :)So yes, slightly heavy, but up front - no? In general, I am the ultimate friend and I don't mean to sound like a snob when I say that but there is no other way to classify my level of friendship. I do not set out to intentionally hurt people and once I care about someone... I will go back to back with them against the world. All my best friends are normally guys so If you are a jealous type of guy, you are not my kind of guy because as a person I have spotless integrity and I deserve to be trusted. I am a big softy, with a big heart and a tough exterior. I love to laugh and I don't normally have to try too hard to make others do so. I’ Money does not mean anything to me, I am not a superficial kind of girl, but I am the kind of girl who likes to pay her bills 5 months in advance just in case bad luck strikes and I’m the kind of girl who does just that because I'd rather be ahead than behind. I am responsible for everything I do and have been for quite some time now. I am independent and I am very driven and passionate about how I feel and what I believe. Honestly, I want to take everything slow, get to know each other and do it the "right way". Some people think the "right way", is over rated, I think its a fool proof way to attempt to live a happy life without kidding myself or making it difficult to look in the mirror. I can be stubborn at times and when I believe I am right, I stick to it. I would like a guy who is driven and gets up and goes for his dreams. I'm human but I am someone who can rationally admit their mistakes and learn from it but I am intelligent enough to not have to make as many mistakes as most in order to learn in the first place. I am a very thick and strong girl and am always working on being healthy mind, body and soul as a united front. I am also a t-shirt and jeans kind of girl having been raised with country grandparents. I have been through a lot in my life, have overcome alot and have been conditioned to be a lover and a fighter. I’m brutally honest and very caring. I am also my own worst enemy which has its positives and negatives in that, its really good to have someone always wanting to make me better than what I am and bad in that sometimes I don't give myself the credit when its due. In my life I have learned that Only truly caring honest people are who I benefit from... which is rare. A couple fun little facts about me... I've had to relearn how to walk after an accident when I was 17 which kept me from the military dream I had, I've Lost 10 very close family members and friends in the last 2.5 years, I'm the only one in my family who has graduated high school, isn't addicted to drugs a nd is going to graduate from college, I have a clean record and plan to keep it that way, I'm terrified of sharks, I get extremely girly very quickly over animals and my idea of a single happy life is owning a big black truck and having a big dog ride shotgun with me to the beach to play on my days off from being a high school art teacher. I am full time college student and I currently work with animals for a living. I love having good conversations and meeting genuinely good people. Open to most ideas
