About Me

I am content, no, HAPPY, with my life. I am grateful for my many blessings. Would like to share that with someone, but it is not a requirement for my happiness. I believe in companionship. True friendship. Chemistry is critical... but friendship is the basis for something meaningful. Most people notice my positive outlook on life. It does not take much effort for me to find the silver lining in almost any situation. Not a Pollyanna by any means; I just don't dwell on what can't be changed, and choose to celebrate what can be changed. I can be quiet. Am quite fond of comfortable silence. I am an observer by nature, so sometimes I can be misread as.... aloof. I am at my best in smaller, intimate settings. But I am no shrinking- I LOVE to laugh. :D I am self aware, having learned from and been evolved by my life experiences. I don't believe in regret. Everything happens for a reason.^^^^^^^^OK That’s the basics of me. Just want to add a few things.What am I looking for?-male. I love a man for being just that. I appreciate a man for all the qualities I am not. I am not looking to find someone to change and fit into my ideal. I find life experience and personal growth make us who we are, or are not.I am a busy working mom with hobbies and interests, friends and family (some acquired along the way). I am not readily available, so I am not looking for a man who doesn’t fill his time with his own life, passions, friends and interests.The words “looking for my soulmate”…give me pause.The laws of attraction are complicated, so I do not take offense when a man does not consider me a match.     Not sure why this dating thing is so hard! It is a much slower way of life and I like it very much here. Just one thing missing. . . someone to share life with. Tired of being at home alone on the weekends. What am I looking for? I want that best friend in life, the one that you know you can do things with at any time, or do nothing with, someone to feel safe with and share the good times and all the bad times and the times in between. I'm easy going and will do just about anything, I like going to movies, concerts, festivals, traveling, I'd go to sporting events if I had someone to go with. While I do like getting dressed up on occasion, I prefer to keep it simple. The gym is a big part of my life, I lost over ***pounds about 5 years ago, and weight will always be an issue. I go to the gym at least 4 nights a week. I try to make that my priority above anything else, because I believe that we gotta take care of ourselves before we can take care of anyone else. Somewhere quiet where we can talk and get to know each other. Maybe a walk in the park. Something easy so we can both be comfortable.
