Hey There!I was on meetville earlier in the year but got really frustrated at all the fake profiles and /or those contacting me making plans but then canceling them all the time. I deleted my profile completely and tried some other avenues. Just thought I would come back to the site once more to see if there are any new guys out there that maybe are SERIOUS about using the site for which it was intended--> actually meeting someone......First off about me:I am a divorced single mom of 2 children. One just finished her first year at college and my second is a rising 8th graders. I work entirely too much....some of it is out of need, but some of it is to fill my time since I don't have anything else to do to fill my time as my kids are at the age they just don't really need me around as much. I am a Registered NurseI am currently on hiatus from working on my RN -BSN online, but will start back in the FallI am a movie fanaticI love music, it is a big part of my life and sanity--> I only really like Hard Rock/Heavy Metal, a pop song only here and there, but NO COUNTRY OR RAP, NADA NONE AT ALL**** JUST BECAUSE I LOVE MY ROCK MUSIC DOES NOT MEAN I DON'T LIVE A GOD FEARING LIFE! JUST BECAUSE I LISTEN TO HARD MUSIC DOESN'T MEAN I LIVE THE LIFESTYLE!!! I DON'T DRINK, DO DRUGS, OR PARTY, I JUST LOVE THE DRUMS AND THE FAST BEATS OF THE HARDER MUSIC AND IT REALLY IS A STRESS RELIEF TO ME TO LISTEN TO IT. ALSO, THE LYRICS ARE LIKE POETRY SOMETIMES, AND THERE ARE SOME VERY TALENTED SONGWRITERS IN THE GENRE. SO BEFORE YOU PASS ME BY B/C I LOVE HEAVY MUSIC, JUST REMEMBER THAT IT DOESN'T INTERFERE W/ MY BELIEF IN GOD AND MY MORALS AND VALUES**********We go to concerts right often, wish it was more often than it is, but hey, we live in NC, and not all the good rock bands come throughI made my mistakes in my previous marriage. Yes it takes two and both of us made mistakes and I fully own my part in it. But, I have learned from my mistakes and during the past 4 years alone (by choice) I have also learned exactly what i am looking for and what I am willing to compromise on and not compromise on. I really am a traditionalist when it comes to relationships. I believe the man should be the one who is in control and the woman is to be by his side, supporting him. I just ask that my opinions be sought out, listened to, respected, and considered in the big scheme of things. I am educated and book smart, not so much street smart, lolWhat I am looking for:First off, don't tell me you that you are looking for a relationship as the "bait", and when we talk or actually meet, switch it up and all the sudden you are looking for a FWB situation, b/c that is not what i am looking for on this site.I seem to attract the young guys or the men who are my parent's age. First things first...if after reading my profile you decide you want to meet me, then send me a message - please make an effort. If you just hit the "meet me" button and never do anything about it, then what's the point? Thanks :)That said, I am a woman who knows what she wants (and doesn't want) and isn't afraid to go after it...life is too short for playing games. I'm strong willed, independent and pretty driven - I don't consider myself needy or selfish but rather as loyal, dependable and caring. I have strong opinions and want to be with someone who sticks up for what they believe in as well - don't be wishy washy. We don't always have to agree, but we have to respect each other. The best part about living here is the access to the outdoors...skiing, hiking, golfing...you can't beat it! What I'd really like though is to find someone to share those experiences with - someone to travel with, go golfing or skiing with, spend a quiet night at home with...whatever...someone with similar interests and wants to take advantage of what's in front of them. Be open to new adventures...My family is super important to me. They all live in the area and we're really close...we spend a lot of time together...that's part of the package. I'm a huge sports fan - love virtually all sports (football is my first love), so sitting in a sports bar watching a game is a fun day or night for me! I'm really up for anything. Just meet and see if there's any chemistry. I think first impressions are huge and we'll both know pretty quickly if we're interested in persuing a second date.

I am an artist, I work with metal and paint, I have a studio and also teach there and at the university, I love to be creative, and empower others to do the same! I love to travel, I have been to over 10 countries outside of the USA, mainly Europe and Indonesia recently.I have a dog, and two turtles, I love to garden, to hike, kayak, attempt surfing and sailing and I am interested in Hang Gliding, bout have not tried it yet! I love dancing, I have been thinking about dance lessons, salsa etc...eating out, out door concerts, performances and of course gallery and museum shows. I am not a huge sports fan, however, I respect that many people really are and can get into it conversationally and physically. I have down a fair amount of inner personal work, and enjoy a real conversation that is deep and goes beyond the surface. I love people and appreciate time alone as well.....Enough about me, looking forward to hearing about you! I have developed good listening skills, and enjoy learning about others and their adventures! For a first date, perhaps some coffee or a drink, perhaps a lunch or dinner, or even a walk in the park, something casual to open the space to talk, get to know each other..se if there is a series of reasons to have a second date! I enjoy surprises as well as being in the know! It could be fun to go to a museum or an art exhibition later on, or perhaps an adventure of sorts....
