I'm a disable veteran and I belong to Disable American Veterans (DAV), American Legion , and Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW). Also enjoy doing the followings: darts, shooting pool, playing some cards, watching tv/sports, gardening, cookouts/cooking, drive-ins/movies, and also like to sit around a campfire/bonfire and having acouple of beers . I can and am open to trying different and new things from time to time . Also I will be comfortable w/spending time out during somewhere and/or just staying in and hanging around home . I'm 49, divorced, two kids 11 and 6. They live with me 50 percent of the time. I am very liberal politically, you might say I have a counter culture attitude (but no beard or long hair). I really enjoy being outdoors, especially on the water, but I have fun indoors too. I like to read a lot, I like to play Scrabble, and I'm a decent cook. Musically I like rock and bluegrass, but there isn't a genre I don't like. Wanna go? The ideal first date for me involves a little food, a little drink, and a little friendly competition. My preference in that vein is something low key, bowling or Scrabble for *** feel like that takes some of the pressure off to have something to focus on besides each other.

I don't mind being goofy and don't usually worry what people think when I do something stupid. :) I still think Disneyland is a great place to go and always will. I love to travel(mostly Local but abroad as well) and have been all over the US and Europe and would love to go back with a special someone. I am a romantic at heart and I believe in showing your affection as often as possible. Quick drives to the Gold country, out and about enjoying the day as we walk hand in hand and enjoy our company and weather no matter what it is. Sitting down and enjoying a great meal in an outdoor setting, or cuddled up inside keeping each other warm. Whether its holding hands or giving a quick hug as you walk by. I listen to a variety of music from the 80's to current pop hits and some country. I have a great career and have been involved in a couple businesses. I Love Football and Hockey but know when to use Tivo to spend time with someone important. I love Sci-Fi tv shows and tivo a few of them. I love most animals but just not a cat person(its more that I tolerate them). I am looking for someone who is passionate like me, who likes the simple things in life and loves to spend time together. Movies, sometimes it doesn't matter what you are doing, just knowing your with the right person makes all the difference. Sitting in front of a warm fire in the winter watching a movie or tv show is a great way to spend it with someone special. I have actually been cave Spelunking twice where you didn't see daylight for 5 hours. I love taking road trips and finding new places to go. One of my dream trips is an African Safari that I want to do in the next ***years, wanna go with me??? Definitely casual and fun. maybe coffee/tea, ice cream, Jamba juice even bowling, etc... I think the opportunity is greater to find out if you have chemistry when your actually doing something than just sitting and sipping a drink. but am open to all offers.. :)
