"If your profile contains sexual language of any kind your account will be deleted." I'm not sure what constitutes sexual language (maybe they even confuse sex with gender? OMG, did I just blow it in the very first paragraph?), so I'll try to be careful and also try to make this the very last rewrite of this thing (since it's going to be so wonderful as to finally locate that right person). Y'know, because if they're starting to get also censor-y around here then I'm not really going to feel comfortable on this site anyway. So I've been doing a lot of thinking since it's generally what I do when I'm not talking and I don't talk a whole lot. And it seems every time I try to talk myself into being more normal I seem to hit this wall in my brain that tells me I'm not allowed to be that way for some reason or another. Guess I just need to find someone who is crazy in the same way then.I'm naturally skeptical and cynical, but in spite of that I'm going to add in the suggestions that meetville lists above (like they really want me to be successful, more likely trying to make me desperate enough to pay for a membership....which I've already tried anyway): 1. My hobbies include surfing the 'net and watching a few different television series on the computer. Sometimes I'll read a book or work a jigsaw puzzle. Pretty low energy I suppose (my job leaves me sort of exhausted). 2. Goals and aspirations.....I've come to a place where I feel relatively secure and content and plan to stay for a while if I can. I look forward to planning bigger and better things with someone, but that's all dependent on meeting someone. For now I'll just be happy with being happy. 3. Talk about myself...I did a bit of that above. What really makes me unique is that I recognize that I'll never know enough people to definitively call myself unique? No, probably not that either.....I guess it's just my unique Social Insurance Number then. 4. My taste in music is 80's top 40 and classic rock. I also like the blues an classical. My actual music collection consists of you tube and the radio. I should also mention that I apparently can play both the guitar and piano (I've heard that's an attractive sort of thing.....and it's other people that call what I do 'playing' - I'm not really that good......either way a long drive). So now you know how long this incarnation of the profile has been here and that you won't meet me at a speed dating event anytime soon.Okay, important information needs to be added. I have 4 children, two of whom are still too young to kick out of the house. But they only visit alternate weekends (or so, the ex and I have a fairly flexible and informal deal with that). The two youngest that is....the older ones are teaching me what my parents mean about calling them or coming to visit more often. Also, the younger two are adopted and former foster children. I don't want to be a foster parent again though, because I told the doctor I was done having kids about 17 years ago and I really try hard to keep my word on important things like that. Also, I live in shack on some and that I own (no mortgage). I would rather have to heat my shower water on a wood stove than owe money to a bank ever again (which is going to sound hypocritical when you find out my car is financed....but that's 0% so I kind of put that in a different category). I do have a bankruptcy on my credit record. However I have nothing on my criminal record. Traffic violations are another matter....(do they matter?)Anyway, the things I most look for in another profile are: included in the list of interests (yes, you should add some interests to your profile...and try to spell them correctly so someone can find you with the advanced search) are IDEAS in addition to things and activities and there is at least one (and preferably all) picture with no makeup or signs or artificial hair colour. Lack of religion is a big bonus too. Please feel free to point out to me anything I might have left out, or contact me for any other reason. This...right here, all that stuff you just read above, IS the first date. Isn't the computer age great?
