*Please don't give me your phone numbers unless, we have arranged to meet and it's a 'just in case' situation. Katie writes her new profile with a glimmer of hope and a dash of uhhh, something positive? I haven't met "you" yet so here it goes...some info to enlighten: You are ***must be young at heart!), looking for a relationship (if all the stars are aligned), you are not looking for "casual fun", "chillin", "hanging out" or whatever the lingo is these days, you are not interested in *** and fro (I'm not scared of meeting people), if you add me to msn, fine, but don't expect anything more then some conversation to lead up to meeting (equals, no nude pics). Physically, I typically go for men who are tallish, leanish-athletic, brown/black hair, nice smile. If I message you back it means that we both find each other attractive and read the profiles (I read the whole thing).. cool? Awesome. I, hopefully, don't have too many cliches in my profile, this site is chock full of them.I would like to say, that my career does not dictate the kind of person I am, it does not define me, if it's important to you that I am putting in exhaustive hours in the high stakes world of finance, or whatever comes to mind, than you will be disappointed. Climbing the corporate ladder is not on my "To do" list however, if it is for you, that is great and I would definitely support that. There is respect in every job a person holds, no matter the professional scale. Spelling well is hot and using capitals and periods once in a while is wicked-awesome too. I am open to dating men who have children as long as you have time for me in your life.I can be physically attracted to you and so turned off by your profile. Pretentiousness is one of the biggest turn offs...if you use "one" other than to indicate a number, then we won't mesh. Pretty please, can I see your face...not shrouded in darkness, hidden amongst ten other peeps, fuzzy to the point of questioning if it is, in fact, human, with your ex, hidden behind sunglasses, doing activities that don?t allow me the opportunity to see your face i.e. walking tight ropes, mining for gold, whaling, underwater basket-weaving, yodeling on a mountaintop, jousting in courtyards etc.I'm not embarrassed about internet dating... come on, everyone is doing it, it's cool..okay maybe that's an over step but it's not a big deal. We don't have to lie or speak in hushed illicit tones when we talk about where we met.In closing, I would like to say, that you really impress me, you are the bee's knees, the cat pajamas..etc who reads profiles all the way through? you do, give yourself an extra helping of honeycombs today or an ice cream sundae. This was fun? yes it was. I need to rewrite my profile more often. Hmmm well after I wax off the chest hair and get that small change of anatomy I've been considering, then I am ready to kick up my dancin hooves... jokes. Whatever doesn't feel like I need to bring resume and three references, I'll be jazzed about most anything (clause pending).

I've moved around a lot-- I love this city. I like enjoying all the stuff is has: the markets, the theatre, the ballet, the libraries, the festivals, the muesums, and even the beaches. My style tends to a more relaxed and easy going outfit. I prefer to be comfortable and casual. (And, no, that doesn't mean Lululemon all the time.) I can totally rock my Blunnies. But my days of 'fashion' are long gone. But, it's still fun to get gussied up for the odd night on the town or party. I live a healthy lifestyle. My weekends tend to be full of wild and crazy activities like: mountain biking and snowboarding. And as much as I love the city, I also like to get out of it on the weekends. Whether its for a weekend camping trip, a day on a hill, a drive through the fall colours or an antique show. It really helps to recharge my batteries. I also really enjoy cooking, and I rarely see it as a chore. I like trying out new recipes, and one of my guilty pleasures is buying cook books. I always get sucked in by their amazing pictures. (My other one is decor magazines....same thing....amazing picutres. I'm ashamed to admit, I don't think I've ever read an article. Oh....that is bad.)I run my own business, and I love what I do. I work and live with animals; therefore, it's really important that you like animals.Oh, and before I forget....the obligatory list of likes and dislikes:Likes:Sunday morning cinnamon bunsMorning coffeeChristmasMy memory foam, pillow-top, king-sized bedThe crisp smell of a morning.Pink tulipsLaughingDislikes:IntoleranceGum smackersWashing dishesFolding laundryThat old man who insists on j-walking across Bathurst St. at a snail's pace....Honestly. Are you for real?!I have two kids, and I think the world of them. They are my beginning, my middle and my end. It was because of them, that I found myself. They are the reason I continue to push my boundaries. And some days, I think they will be the death of me, they make me so crazy. I'm looking for a relationship. Perhaps not right out of the gate, but that would be the end result. I prefer you to be active--not necessarily the same acitivies, but you would be open to trying them. And I would be the same with yours. (Right now, I am secretly hoping you don't play golf.) I would also like it if you were honest and forthright, but still gentle and kind. They don't have to be mutually exlusive. I would also like it if you had a sense of humour. Life is easier when you can laugh at the hard parts...and even easier when you have someone who can laugh with you. And if you don't mind folding laundry and washing dishes, that would also be great. Coffee, tea?
