About Me

As of late, my life seems mostly about work. I'm a teacher. I put in more hours than I care to consider. It can be so challenging and exhausting at times, yet, I find it incredibly rewarding and emotionally satisfying. Outside of that, I go back and forth with other interests: cooking, movies, reading, music. The list could go on. Lately, I've been on a reading kick albeit of books somewhat less than expertly written yet intriguing (plot-wise). Pretty easy-going in general and willing to go along with most things. I attribute that quality to my strong connection to my heritage as a part Native Hawaiian. My friends and colleagues characterize me as calm, hardworking, and kind. I seem extroverted, a consequence of my profession, but can be quite the introvert. I'm someone it usually takes some time to get close to and often find it difficult to reach out to people. I overthink things (ad infinitum it seems) and that seems to create much hesitance on my part, but I'm getting better at it...I think.
