About Me
Thanks for dropping by my profile. I am interested in meeting and dating women who are interested in getting to know me on a personal level, and taking the natural steps in doing so. I believe relationships take time and work, whether they are platonic or romantic.
At this point in my life (and career), I'm up for casual dating and see where that goes. I like the idea of finding my "match" on here, but I don't want to romanticize the process and rush into anything. But if I find myself spending more and more time with a particular someone, I'll definitely strive to balance my focus on her and my career.
About Me: Overall, I consider myself a lovable nerd who enjoys learning from the world around me, not to mention my new students. I currently live just north of Boston, so I make sure to take trips to Boston and elsewhere for the necessary change of pace. Since I travel quite a bit I'd like to connect with single women in those areas as well.
A good time for me usually involves good friends and some food, and likely some music (i.e. Neo Soul, R B, and/or smoothed out/Old School Hip Hop). And even though I don't dance all that great, I love to dance after some urging from a dancing partner, or my boys. Dancing is so much fun, I'm learning late, and great exercise!
I'm also inclined to hang out in bookstores, cafes, a nice restaurant or lounge, go to the movies, a museum, plays, or simply keep it at the house. I also love the outdoors and enjoy taking day trips when the time permits. And though I do not drink, I do like going to lounges or nice wine bars to spend time with friends or significant other.
I was raised by a southern, working class family, a good portion of that time in the South (Tampa, Atlanta area, and North Carolina), so I'm prone to be laid back, yet easily excitable and silly, and I always open a door for women...just comes natural to me.
My Potential Partner: I want to find someone who complements my personality, has similar goals and and an innate drive, yet holds her own, even if there is a stark contrast here or there. I appreciate women whose thoughts come from the heart, who can laugh at themselves and at the silliest of things, and isn't shy about sexual intimacy. In the end, I want a woman who is educated (this doesn't mean she has to have three degrees) and knows that the man she is with isn't defined by his education or some crazy notion of manhood. He's simply there for her 100%, good or bad. She accepts and appreciates me for who I am, and I her. Maybe, most important, she is easy going and can hang out with a crowd and enjoys being one-on-one with me. Plus, it would be nice to have a good relationship with her family.
