Writing this profile is actually really challenging. I do not consider myself a literary person, despite loving to read and digesting books when ever possible. I find it challenging to be as articulate as I would want to be yet not bore the crap out of you. I could ramble on about all the sports that I enjoy such as skiing, snowshoeing, biking, kayaking, etc. but, what’s the fun in that. It would be way more fun to go out and do them. The only thing that I would not do again is roller-blade. If you only saw me (was worth a good laugh) and the valiant effort that I made. I even bought a pair one summer but that summer, the medical clinic saw more of me than anyone would wish for. Perseverance is a good word to describe me that summer. I was really determined to learn and like it. Did Not Work! I never want to see a pair again. I love the mountains, love the ocean, we have some culture and lots of events to enjoy. There are great restaurants here that please every palate and what’s more fun than sitting on a patio in the summer and taking it all in. I have a close network of friends and some of my family live here. I am social and like to get to know and chat with many people. I like to be out and laugh and just have fun because after all, life is too short not to. Ciao for nowPS I spend as many weekends as possible during the Winter at Whistler so if you have a passion for the slopes, you win brownie points in my books (not happy brownies, just plain brownies cuz we are over that stuff now). Plus, cold weather can lead to cuddling by a roaring fire and that’s always nice.PPS I am here with the intention of dating for a potential relationship if I meet that elusive someone. I am not interested in dating for the purpose of FWB or no-strings-attached friendship.

I have a bed from my grandfather, Arts and Crafts style, carved with my father’s initials. I have steel-toed boots and also stilettos (and I can walk in both, thank you)I have a signet ring from my father’ I have a many times great grandfather whose portrait is in my living roomI have old war medals from WWI, WWII, even the Boer War (Google that…)I have a History Major (are you surprised? But…I don’t have any pretentious airsI don’t care what you do for work as long as you’re not looking for a sugar mama (I’m a teacher, after all…)I don’t judge people by their coversI don’t mind being independentI don’t mind sharing my own ideas and opinionsAnd…I am prepared in case of a zombie attack (I love the Walking Dead, Resident Evil, or any apocalypse really…)I can *** own hardwood floors and I KNOW which end of a drill to useI have a soft spot for handy men, if you know what I mean I know where the library is and how to use it (I take out books on drilling…. Just kidding)I worked for a roofing company, and I have a tool belt fetish (plaid shirts too! So cozy!) I have a charmingly eccentric mix of features (if you’ve read this far, you’ve figured that out)I have acquired some unique ***’s skill sets: embroidery, hand sewing, baking, preserving food, storytelling, fire starting, water pumping, sock darning, and most importantly, goat tending (ask me more… I dare you)So…I like the stories behind objects, people, and places. I’m into pre-loved, scratched and dented, slightly used, interesting human beings. I can talk for hours and listen for just as long (and care about what I’m hearing). I don’t need perfect or new or shiny, I’m just as happy with comfortable, cheap and practical. I think sometimes I have too much common sense. I’m a romantic in that I develop sentimental attachments easily. I have a huge devotion to my family (the one I come from and the one I want to make, though I haven’t started yet). I tend to put other’s needs before my own, and have a considerate streak a mile wide. I commiserate and compliment. I work hard, and appreciate that trait in others – it’s hard for me to respect people who have no passions in life, be it for their job or their pastimes. I have traveled the world, in the airplane as well as the armchair. Sometimes I can even start a sentence with a word that’s not “I”…Lastly…I have some Jamaican heritage, so I tan well. I do hot yoga, so I bend well. I am empathic, so I listen well. I helped my sister raise her son and twin girls, so I *** (insert mothering skill here) well. I am one of the most curious people you’re going to meet, and I’m open to human experience, be it bitter or sweet. Winter is coming, let's go for a walk (I have a couple of dogs available), go to the aquarium, the museum, to a game, even a simple time with a pint and a fire is enjoyable with the weather doesn't cooperate.

1. Hobbies? Anything that makes me smile but I especially love the water and warmth of the sun. 2. Goals/Aspirations? Live well and be a good person worthy of the character I was raised by 3. About self/unique? 4. Music? Almost anything but always loud with really good sound while I drive.I read somewhere to live an unboring life one must wonder, seek and discover. I try to do that as often as I can, enjoying travel for the empirical experience, the knowledge and being in the moment. And...it is so much fun!!!I believe in kindness, reciprocity and integrity and seek a good man for companionship, romance and fun....and to share an unboring life.:)Good luck to all you fishermen and hope each one of you find happiness in yourselves and in the others you seek. Drinks and an appetizer but more for the conversation and laughs than for the food? Maybe a movie because popcorn and/or winegums are the dessert of champions? Or a hockey / baseball game would be great too. Golf nine with the option for 18?
