Smile. It is a simple act, but sometimes takes a lot of effort. A smile can cause boundaries to melt, hearts to warm up, and distances to reduce. Why don't we smile more often? Is it too tough to smile? The answer lies in our attitude towards life. If we are more accepting of situations, we will be able to smile more easily.I would describe myself as a practical person who loves adventure and discovering new places and things to do. I have a lot of responsibilities that I enjoy balancing but I also strive to make my leisure time a priority as well. I enjoy socializing with others, finding the positive lesson or blessing in situations, laughing with others and at myself, and hearty conversations. I am very much a "partner" person in that I enjoy doing most activities with other people... I tend to re-energize with others as opposed to needing solitude. However, I am perfectly happy in my own time and space and enjoy those times of peacefulness. I am an assertive personality and prefer a man with an assertive personality as well... not aggressive.. but pleasantly assertive. Someone who is confident, bold, not afraid of risk or rejection, with a desire to protect and honor. Softened with the ability to listen and communicate well, be devoted, affectionate, trustworthy, and compromising. A couple postive things I have learned from past relationships is ***I would rather be well than right... at the end of the day it doesn't really matter to me if I'm right or "won" the argument.. I need to know that we can be right and well with each other. ***Relationships don't work because you "love" the other person or because you want it to work.. they work when you are intentional... goals, hopes, dreams, visions, perspectives all change over periods of time and if you aren't actively working on finding shared interests together then the relationship won't be as successful as it could be. I travel with my job and my schedule is pretty wacky... so I'm looking for someone who is understanding, flexible, trusting, independent, and willing to work around my limiting schedule. That is a lot to ask but it is important. And of course my time with my children is a priority that should be respected, as it would be of yours if you have children. International Travel is my greatest luxury passion... I also enjoy salsa dancing, hiking, camping, skiing, Paddleboarding (SUP)), dinners out, cooking in, hockey games, beaches, kickball, card/board games, group fitness, eating healthy, and house parties :) PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT - Things I Dislike when I'm seeing your profile:Pictures without a full-on smile (show those pearly whites) Only pictures with sunglasses (eyes say many things)Pictures that are taken using a mirror (I don't need to see your stellar abs and using a mirror makes me wonder if you have a social life)Comments that you are "keeping it brief" or "just ask" if I want to know more (making little or no attempt to share on a profile leaves me assuming you don't make an effort with much)Other important notes: I have an intolerance aka allergy to cats, can't be around them sorry :/ Keep it casual - lunch, happy hour, coffee shop, picnic at park, light hike/stroll

Ok so .... About me?? wow really... I think I am fun to hang out with and usually the life of the party. But oddly enough I am shy unless I really know ya.
