I don't like dating someone that can't seem to have a conversation for a few minutes without checking his cell or is constantly looking around. PAY ATTENTION! Please have a RECENT picture not one of 10 years ago when you had hair! I have a few quirks about hair and shoes.....I also love going to concerts. Lemmy IS the last great rock god! If you know that as the truth we are made for each other! Just because I like to hit rock shows and loves me some Lemmy....doesn't mean I am a total party girl. I am home more often than not! Maybe you can change that?It would help if you have a dog or at least a dog person as my dog Izzy Sixx really is my best friend! I am willing to move if I find the right person...REALLY! Aspire to become fearless, not reckless, but fearless. Find wonder (little miracles are all around us) and humour in the everyday, and treat yourself well.What would I envision the man for me would be like, my one and only?Looking for an enlightened guy...he has learned many lessons but knows there are an infinite number yet to learn. He smiles easily because, like me, he gets it. (When you get it...life becomes easier...because you know everything is ment to be..and you exhale.)He knows life is made up of moments, and he treasures the little things. He is practical and likes to fix and or create(even if only with words...or music.) He considers himself even tempered and his emotional baggage is stored appropriately. He knows his own personal power..he has 'grown up', and he doesnt need to come on heavy. Hes all about exploring life but loves his down time and doesnt have a problem with just chilling, reading or chatting sometimes. Hes an optimist..a positive person; he loves to laugh, even at himself at times, but can be serious too when he ponders about why things are they way they are and he figures there could just be more to THIS life then what we can see. He uses his brain as much as his hands...an intelligent man is a turn-on! :-) He has an affinity with animals and he has had children, as I think having the responsibility and challenges of raising kids, especially on ones own, takes a person to a different level. He has lived enough that he knows who he is...what he stands for(so he wouldnt fall for just anything)...and he would call himself sincere. He, like me, knows good communication is vital to the success of any relationship, and conversely, lack there of, leads to its demise. Communication is HUGE for me.The trials and tribulations in his past have made him the man that he is today, as we are all the accumulative sum of all our past experiences. A complex past that he has grown from and moved forward from is ideal. After all, 'adversity is the stepping stone to greatness!'He is independent yet wants a true partner, a monogamous relationship, someone with which to multiply the joys and divide the sorrows.Me?I am a single mum born of European parents, with a full time long term technical career; my one son is 19 and is maturing into manhood by the day, but still likes to check in with Mom about the important stuff. I am goofy and fun, but I am wise, the kind of wise that comes with embracing all of my past challenges; I see many facets to one thing or one concept. I like to stay active in both body (walking the dog, time at the gym, swimming..gotta back to yoga) and mind. I LOVE to read ..nose in book frequently!! (My departed Mother read until the day she died..and was as smart as a whip!) At least one book a month.. more if they are page turners, & research anything that is of interest to me. I love the Arts but also Science. I would like to learn something every day for the rest of my life. I see the BIGGER picture..and am fully aware that I am a spirit living a physical existence to learn what I need to in this lifetime. I believe in being optimistic despite any circumstance; seeing the glass as half full or look for the 'silver lining'. Being out in nature, or being surrounded by animals(even party animals on occassion :***are passions of mine. I love to cook and have the ability to combine diverse flavours quite easily. Creative leftovers rock! Spicy ethnic food..make it or take out are both good!I love my red wine; I think its about how a wine tastes not what it costs that is where its at...chilling on a sunny patio. I love my libations, but I know when to say when. :-) If the mood isnt right or if Im doing a body cleanse...weeks can pass with no 'bevie'.MUST HAVE MUSIC :-)...everything from the 80's, jazz, big blues fan, classic rock, reggae, soul, adult alternative***.3 rocks!)and classical CBC R2 while concentrating or on sunday mornings with paper and coffee. And sometimes all I want to hear is the wind through the trees..and the birds chirping. Would love to compare notes...over a bite or a cuppa. Friends first, as that is the most natural way to proceed. No smokers pLEEease!!! What you put into your body is what you get out of it. I think about what I eat (99%wheat free diet) but I think its good to break those rules sometimes. Chocolate comes to mind. :-)CANUCKS! fan, planted firmly ON the wagon at all times. I am a forthright child at heart..and wouldnt make it through my life without my sense of haha. We all should be able to see the humour in life.****Im down-to-earth, real, no nonsense and here for a reason.
