If you asked my friends about me, they would say I am witty, always smiling, have a positive attitude, am generous, outgoing.....so why am I single? That's what we can't figure out! But really, I asked them their opinions and that was some of their answers. I am that woman that can be comfy at home in my sweat pants snuggled on the couch in front of a fire or dressed up and going out to dinner. I can go from sweats to heels in an hour or less! I am the proud mother of 2 older children. My daughter is 27 and my son 21. I work at a full time job in the local ER and I love my job. They say if you love what you do that you never work a day in your life so I am fortunate. I am also a full time college student going for my RN....not sure why I thought I could just breeze through college after being out of school for 26 years...lol. To say what I am looking for in ***words or less would be tough. I think it is something that once you find it you know. It's important to me that my partner be my friend also. I want to be able to laugh with them, cry with them, and know I have a soft place to fall after a bad day. They would know they have all of that with me too. I want us to enjoy new experiences together, if not for the experience but just the fact that we are doing it together. I want to feel that passion again. I love the closeness of being able to "be me" with someone and they love me for that. If we want to work out in the yard with my hair in a ponytail or walk through the mall and stop for a kiss "just because", I want a man that is comfortable in that and lets me be that way also. I enjoy watching sports, it is especially fun when watching it with someone rooting against your team. I like going to little out of the way shops, trying out new restaurants, walking the boardwalk (especially before and after the tourist season), and curling up on the couch and reading a good book. I love to cook and try out new recipes (normally sucessfully). I could go on and on about things I like to do, but I am always open for new experiences. I like classic rock, country, Motown, and some of todays music. I can deal with just about anything other than rap. Although if you scrolled through my ipod there are a few old rap songs that are good for walking to the treadmill to. It's all good until I realize i am reciting the words outloud. I need to be able to refill my depleted reserves. I enjoy any activity around the water. Even my favorite vacation is cruising. Just give me my Kindle, iPod, some sun and water and I am good to go. IT was my goal this summer to have a killer tan and i succeeded!!! I may not be great at fishing but I have no problem relaxing quietly while some one else enjoys the sport. If I knew how to dance I might enjoy music more, but I do like listening to live bands. I enjoy having someone to share my life and expose me to new things. I recently got custody of my 17 year old godson and am a parent for the first time in my life. He's showing me a more active lifestyle. No longer the quiet book worm I tried to be. Its been fun, but no teenager wants to hang around with a parent all the time, right? I would like to find a partner in life. Someone to share my experiences with, good and bad. I don't need someone to fix things or try to make it all better. I am way too independent to go for that. I want someone to bounce ideas off of and tell me when I could be making a better choice, but not force me into it.I like to try new and different things. I actually got my para-plane license when I was younger. I love to fly! The feeling of being up in the air with nothing coming at you... incredible. My favorite movie is Titanic, for the history of it all, not the romance. I have been a Titanic buff since a kid. I have books and artifacts that I treasure. Then again I like history period. My favorite memories as a kid involve traveling around the country seeing battlefields, museums, historic monuments.
