Looking for: man. In age: 39-49
Luckily,in my profession I am surrounded by youth, which keeps me young at heart. I love laughing and making people laugh. I also like being around good friends and family. I enjoy the simple things in life... dinner/BBQ w/ friends, going for a walk (by the ocean is a plus), weekend getaways, music, watching a movie, the company of someone special, etc. I enjoy being outdoors when the weather is nice- beach, parks, cafe, walking, bike riding, motorcycle ride through the burbs, etc. I am a hopeless romantic. I am very interested in finding my best friend, lover, and companion to share the adventures of life. I am an independent woman looking for someone to compliment me and vice versa (although a little chivalry is nice). I AM NOT looking for just casual dating. If you would like to know more, feel free to *** you read all the way through my profile and ***, mention dogs to indicate it. :o)Good luck in your search. I think a great first date would be meeting for coffee or a drink, conversation to see if we have chemistry, and hopefully lots of laughs. The company is more important than the place.

Hello fine sir!I am a passionate foodie/chef and animal loving singer/musician. My favorite pastimes are cooking, singing/practicing music, playing with my two kitties (and pretty much anything that has hooves or paws), reading and watching a really good cerebral film. Speaking of cerebral, I am definitely a sapiophile. There is nothing sexier than a rapier sharp mind and wit with a great sense of humor! I also get a tremendous amount of fulfillment out of volunteering for various organizations, in various capacities... I enjoy helping others in whatever way I am able.Presently, I am a full-time student and a part-time server working on my first degree, an AA in Music. The plan is to transfer to continue/complete a double major: a BA in Communicative Disorders and Music Therapy; after which I plan to obtain a Special Education credential and MA in Speech-Language Pathology. So, I have quite the road ahead of me, however my path is clear and my commitment is absolute. This is my version of a "midlife crisis"...other people want a younger mate, a sexy sports car...me: I abandoned my 17 year restaurant management career to return to school full-time to follow my heart/dreams and maximize my potential in life. If all of this sounds exciting to you - you may be just the man I'm looking for! ;o) At times things are difficult, especially on the financial front, but it is definitely temporary. As many wise friends have said, "This too shall pass."One of my best life friends once said about and to me, "You have always beat to your own drummer." I am definitely not "typical" in any way. My father taught me to always make up my own mind about things - to not follow the herd. Throughout my life, I have always felt like the salmon swimming upstream, going against the grain of what everyone else thinks is "normal" or "acceptable." Some of my favorite topics of discussion: religion, politics, philosophy, social issues, cooking and music - of course music! My musical tastes range far and wide...;;;;; Debussy. I also appreciate some Hip Hop and Country - they just aren't my "favorite" genres of music. As far as my personal musical ability goes, I am studying classical voice and I also love to sing jazz. Some other things you should know about me, I am an "old-fashioned" Christian girl. I am definitely looking for an "old-fashioned" Christian guy. If you are an ardent atheist, while we would most certainly have some interesting conversations, it is doubtful it would ever be more than that. Also, although I work with the public (always have) and enjoy it, I am definitely not an extrovert. I am an introvert who just happens to be bubbly and engaging. I am genuine and sincere, and extraordinarily compassionate towards others...all that being said to say simply, I am not really a "party" girl. My idea of a perfect evening is to have a great home cooked meal, a good bottle of wine, some great conversation and/or a good movie, and genuine intimacy with someone I care about. I am definitely not the superficial type. While physical appearance is important, it is nowhere near as important as the content of someone's heart and mind. Regarding personal appearance: personally, I am plus size - a very curvaceous and attractive plus size, but plus size none the less. I am continuously trying to improve myself and my health is of the utmost importance to me. I am highly affectionate and deeply loyal to those I love. Family is very important to me. Mine is small and we are close.Something important about you: You should be able to complete a grammatically correct sentence in the English language. One of my pet peeves is sloppy/poor grammar. (I even type everything out in text messages.) ...the other major peeve - don't be a super picky eater. I am an outstanding chef/cook, and love cooking for people that I care about. I need someone who enjoys all food types to be truly happy.Lastly, like many people who pursue online dating, I am extremely busy. I want to find someone to share my life with - long term. I will absolutely make time for someone I am interested in, but it must be a two way street.- respect for my personal character as well as my time...I will absolutely respect you and yours, please respect me and mine. Thank you so much for reading! Best wishes in finding your soulmate! Coffee, lunch, wine tasting...a walk on the beach or through a museum, a picnic...or just a nice evening out to a good dinner with engaging conversation. I'm pretty open...let's get to know each other.
