I am a down-to-earth woman who is hardworking and fun loving. I am mature & self assured. I laugh at myself regularly and enjoy learning new things. People tell me I am very easy to talk to and very funny too. I shun games, drama and shallowness. About the only games I really like involve chasing a little white ball around a golf course and a few board games like Monopoly and Scrabble.For fun, I like hiking, photography, wine tastings, travel and live entertainment such comedy clubs and blues/jazz clubs. I love 80s music - most kinds actually - the Boss is really still boss in my head. I also enjoy simply walking the dog, watching a movie or reading. I like to stay busy and the sense of accomplishment of a job well done is so satisfying to me. I am comfortable in elegant situations as well as roll up your sleeves and getting dirty working outside. I am not opposite to evenings out at bars. A really great night out on the town to me is seeing a show and maybe a glass of wine people watching prior to or after the show.The above text was added off the cuff. I reflected a little about what else I would want to reveal about myself and came up with a little more. So, other things to know about me… I like to treasure hunt…lots of places… beaches,estate sales and sometimes garages sales. Although this hobby sounds a little like a pack rat, I am darn selective of what actually comes home with me. Half the fun is the hunt. I am not really into stuff, just for stuffs’ sake. I enjoy having nice things around me. When items are too crowded and crammed into your space, I believe that creates more chaos then they are worth having around. Objects that really mean something or hold particular sentiments are what I like to have around me. What I enjoy more are memories of places and events. These are the true treasures of life. (Oh, my, that sounds almost wise. Cool!)I know that no one else can make you happy. Happiness comes from within. Granted, there is always room for improvement, so don’t take that previous statement as out-of-control ego… more like healthy respect for self. I believe I am - a positive force in the world; an intelligent individual with lots of good energy.     I thought this site might be a good way to meet some new people, maybe make some new friends or something more! I'm not looking to jump head-first into something serious, rather to start off casual and if it's there then it will progress naturally. Some of the more important characteristics I am looking for are honesty, a good moral compass and family values, sense of humor (mine can be dry/sarcastic but I can take it as well as I dish it out!), intelligence, and the ability to just have a good time!!! Physical attraction is important as well, but that doesn't mean looking like a model...and I'm more interested in what your profile says than your shirtless self-photos taken in the mirror anyway! It's more about who you're with than what you do that determines if it can be a good time. I'll try just about anything once so if you have other interests that are important to you I'd be willing to give them a try! My family & friends are a very important part of my life...too many people I know lose touch with their friends when they enter a new relationship, but mine will be a part of my life forever...and maybe you'll get to meet them one day! Something out of the ordinary and fun, where the opportunity to talk is there but short enough that if there isn't a mutual interest we're not stuck with each other for hours...and if it's going well we can always find something else to do!
