I'm happy, independent, interesting, sensitive, curious, fun and adventurous. Like pretty much everyone else on the coast I love the ocean, forest and mountains and am into being active and the outdoors. I bike to work every day rain or shine and spend most weekends hiking/skiing/swimming/biking/camping/etc. I like to think I'm pretty green and take reducing, reusing and recycling to heart. Contributing to the community I live in is important to me and I always have one or two volunteer commitments on the go at any given time. Other things that put a smile on my face are hanging out with friends, good food, a good belly laugh and spending time in my home away from home on the west coast. I feel that responsibilities should come first in my life but there's never enough time in the day or weekends in the year to do everything that needs to be done so every now and then you just have to say the dishes can wait, it's time to get out there and have some fun!!The CBC and music are pretty constant presences at home and on the road, and my taste in music varies widely.....but there's everything including hip-hip, classic rock, reggae, punk, jazz, country/bluegrass, world beat, techno and even a little classical in my itunes folder. Love live music but don't get to see enough of it. I enjoy playing music too, in that I have a piano and can make noise with it that may or may not sound like an actual song that you might recognize. And no...I'm not trying to impress you with my humility here!I usually have a few books on the go and even finish them once in a while (hopefully not a metaphor for my life...), I've recently finished a biography of Father Brabant and have lost patience with Mao II. I've just started Colony of Unrequited Dreams. The last book I couldn't put down was All the Pretty Horses, by Cormac McCarthy.Well that's a few tidbits about me. As for what I'm looking for, I don't have too many preconceptions here...good mental and physical health are important as is being well balanced, engaged in life and open to its possibilities...other than that, surprise me!

Man. 43 years old. Zodiac sign: Virgo.
Looking for: woman. In age: 40-50
I like to play sports and watch them. I like music and movies and would enjoy a nice meal and drinks in the city. My biggest passion in life, is my 12 year old daughter. She will always be my number one girl. I am sure that is understood by most. But to those who it is not please don't contact me. No offense meant...just been there before and it just doesn't work!I am not the type of person to try for the "one night stands" and any game playing or drama. I am sure everyone on this site has had their fair share of previous relationships where that has gone on. I am serious about trying to find an honest and trustworthy woman who is serious about finding those same qualities in a man. If my "Miss Right" (for me) isn't on this site then all I can hope for is that I make some really nice new friends along my journey. Best of luck to you all on your search for that "special someone". 1st Date I think something simple would be best. Like meeting for coffee or drinks and appetizers somewhere. That way there is no pressure of getting together and not hitting it off and feeling like you have to sit through a whole meal or show or whatever when you know that the connection is just not there. 2nd Date I would like to go to dinner and then a sporting event (e.g. I love the city!!! Follow that up with drinks and conversation. But, I am completely open to whatever would make us both feel comfortable to meet. A first date can be nerve wracking enough without where your meeting or what your doing to be out of your comfort zone. Casual and comfortable is the best recipe in my opinion.

I\'m a classic rock and country music kinda person that doesn\'t mind getting dirty and knows how to clean up. Lots of other qualities I could list here but I\'ve dated the "perfect on paper" types - boring.
