People need their own space and their own private time. I am very playful yet serious when need be. My musical taste is pretty broad. I will listen to anything from country and bluegrass to rock, alternative, even classical, No opera unless we are at the opera. I am pretty much an easy going person when not at work and one of the most honest people that I know. I try and treat others as I would have them treat me. If you want to know more then we are just going to have to talk then aren't we? :=)Just give me a chance to prove I am not your typical male. :=) SURPRISE. lol Actually I am good with any but jail for a first date; however if we end up there then we sure as heck had better of had one hell of a good time getting there. I am licensed through the state as a funeral director. I own and operate my family's funeral home. This profession requires me to live close to work since I am sometimes on call 24 hours a day....and sometimes for extended periods of time. This means I can not move far from town. This also means that I am sometimes called away during important events.....birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays....and also during dates. I realize that this gives me a lot of X's against me...however, you'd have to give those same X's to ER Doctors, fire fighters, and EMT's....I guess I am looking for someone that is open minded about what I do.Now.....more about me......I have been single for almost 4 years now......I read a lot of profiles that ask if there are any NORMAL guys left out there....unfortunately, I have to say the same thing about women.....are any out there? :D I am athletic....so I tend to stay active and I am looking for someone that can at least keep up with me half the time. I travel often.....for vacation.....and my trips usually include long, all day walks.....so if you like to travel and want to do that with me....you better like walking :) I am a very fun and sarcastic and positive person...and I am always smiling. I live life as best and fun as I can because you never know what tomorrow brings. I like to think that having a good job, being educated, having all my “stuff” together, being surrounded by great friends and family, being a great dad (I have my daughter more than 50% of the time), bringing home a championship trophy by coaching my daughter's softball team :), and being a good person, would be good enough for most....unfortunately, life doesn't work as simple as that, apparently there is a thing called “looks!” Over rated! :D Ha!!!!! Seriously though, I understand there needs to be attraction and chemistry between us....so I am not offended if I get a “no thanks.” I hear that some d-bags get offended when women don't respond to *** the crazy ones....good luck if you end up with one of those! :DI really don't have a typical weekend since they are always filled up with family events, work, town festivals, vacations, and the rest go to my daughter and friends. Do you want a sit down dinner where you are with someone for a couple hours or just a drink so you have the option of a quick get away:) I'm always up for either.
