About Me

In my free time I usually watch Netflix, play video games, read, dance, go on walks, hang out in the backyard with my neighbor, or go out with friends. I enjoy camping, fishing, hiking, races, bowling, movies, and whatever else a person can come up with to do. I've always liked trying new things as long as I have someone to try those things with. I do believe in God, but I am not religious. Believing in God is a choice. If you do not believe in God and think anyone who does is delusional or you are offended by Christian music then you can continue on your way. I will not push my views and beliefs on you. I will not belittle you for your beliefs. I may ask you about them and why you believe the things you do and I may tell you why I believe the things I do, but I will never try to convert you. My current goal is to become a Registered Nurse. I'm currently on my path of achieving that goal. However, my nursing classes don't start until ***. It's a long wait to get on with my life. I, also, want to write novels. Eventually, I want to get married and have kids. I have one kid and he's 7. His dad doesn't have anything to do with him. I'm very independent and enjoy my space. I don't want someone to fill up my time or is too needy. I am opinionated, honest, loyal, and real. I rather a person know exactly how and who I am right from the beginning so I don't waste their time. I would like to be treated the same. I'm a firm believer of the golden rule, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." Sometimes, I slip up, but I'm always trying to treat people the way I want them to treat me. I don't put up with bullshit. I like to take things slow. There is no need to rush things. I don't like needy, clingy men. I don't like men who lie, cheat, does anything illegal, or gets in meaningless fights. I want a man who is honest, loyal, monogamous, humorous, reliable, good work ethic, responsible, is good with kids, slow to anger, understanding, shows me I am special and wanted, not judgmental, listens, caring, not afraid to shower me with compliments even if I am not accepting of them, and laid back. Also, it is a real turn off when I read a message and the guy can't write even the simplest words. Sorry, but we will probably never meet. I like intelligent guys, but not so intelligent that they are obnoxious, arrogant, and make me feel like a complete idiot. Everyone is smart in their own way. I happen to be good at science and really enjoy it. I'm a little old fashioned when it comes to talking with men. I may find you attractive, but I will not approach you first. I feel that if a guy is interested then he should come to me. I will not give out my number right away, that is something that is earned, as well as, meeting. You may end up waiting a couple weeks to a couple months depending on the connection and the extent of our conversation. I am not a cat person. I prefer dogs. There are very few cats that I like. One thing you need to know about me is that if you are married, I will not meet you, ever. Marriage is sacred and I will not come between another person's relationship. If you are married and on here you need to get off and make things work with your wife. Too, many people get married and think it's effortless. It isn't. There is a reason you got married in the first place, I suggest you figure it out and make it work again. I like rock, reggae, jazz, blues, oldies, country, christian, and even some hip hop. I really don't like rap.On another note. I took the time to write all of this out so, I would appreciate you taking the time to read it. I will read yours as well before responding to your first message. If I have directed you to read my profile then you have already made a bad impression. First dates are hard and awkward. The right first date will ease that awkwardness. I think, that the first date should be up to the guy. He can pick restaurant, activity, or whatever he prefers. I like to see what the guy picks to do. It says a lot about a guy. I will tell you that dinner and a movie is not going to be the best first date. How can you get to know someone while watching a movie? I don't know about you, but I love movies and I get so into them that I tune out everything around me. Besides, it's rude to talk in a movie theater. I would like a date to be creative. Dinner is fine, but there should be an activity to go along with it. I want a date that will blow me away.
