Let me jump right in with the things I love: I love the outdoors (hiking, skiing, skating, etc.). Out in nature is where I find peace. I also love animals, all types of music, art, movies, and new experiences.I'm interested in philosophy, psychology, sociology, and science in general. I'm creative, independent, affectionate, and liberal-minded with a good sense of humor (I hope). I'm a bit of a neat freak. I'm passionate, but without a lot of drama. I'm also a vegetarian, but I don't preach to anyone. I take a live-and-let-live approach to life. I enjoy a good discussion and can see both sides of a topic, but at the same time, I don't like to fight or argue. I believe in treating others the way I want to be treated. And that's how I live my life. I enjoy doing volunteer work in my spare time (I have no children, so less responsibilities, more free time). I've done everything from helping clean up the coastline (I don't ascribe to a "princess" mentality) to a 5K run/walk to planting trees. I'm driven to making the world a better place while I'm here. Also, when volunteering, I get a sense of community--something that's lacking these days.I'd like to meet someone who shares a lot of my beliefs and interests, but also has a few separate hobbies. I don't care how little or how much money you have--I'm self-supporting. Every once in awhile, I need some alone time to reflect and recharge, and I will gladly give you the same in return. I'm especially drawn to creativity and intellect. Or Huckleberry Finn?I'll end my profile essay with a few FUN and WACKY facts: I adopted two adult wolves (don't worry--they live away from home).I went to the Vatican and down in the sepulcher, I had Deja vu (eeeeek!!!)I used to shoot skeet (hey, I'm a PACIFIST).I once won a dance contest--on roller skates! Anywhere is fine, as long as it isn't in a sepulcher! ;-)

Hi, I'm a retired Army officer of 20 years. Uncle Sam has blessed me with the ability to now spend more time with my children. I like to stay busy with DIY projects, yard work, and of course activities with my kids, friends, and family. Lets see....I have 12 children, but the good news is.... the triplets are almost potty trained!! Still here? Okay, seriously I have 4 children, 2 girls/2 boys. My oldest is in college, one is a HS senior, and my boys are 11 & 12. I was incredibly fortunate to adopt my three youngest and they are all the light of my life. That's pretty much all I'm going to say about them at this point because the mother bear in me is pretty protective. Okay now that I've got all the scary stuff out of the way....and you're still here....I have brown hair and big brown eyes. I no longer have the body of a 21 year old but I am a very fit size 6 and work out everyday (well M-F that is). All my pics are recent. What you see is what you get! So you don't have to worry about a "see and flee" first date! I'm a genuinely happy person. "Life is not about waiting for the storms to pass...it's about learning how to dance in the rain". Holding hands, giving massages, cuddling and gazing into each others eyes are important to me. I enjoy hiking and shooting (9mm & compound bow). But don't let the whole shooting or Army thing scare you, I still like to dress and look like a lady....hair, nails and all.Lets see...... I love hiking, camping, snow skiing, scalloping, going to sporting events (especially baseball), and love, the beach. I like to travel and experience different cultures. I like to joke and I like a guy that is not afraid to go toe-to-toe with a bright and vibrant woman. So if I pin your ears back from time to time, please know that it is all in fun. I am "honest" if nothing else and I truly mean that in all things. So I am looking for someone that is equally honest. I'd like a guy that is physcially fit, not necessarily ripped or buff (although that is nice too), but someone who is not over weight or who has simply let-themselves-go. Oh and bald is absolutely fine too. I love a guy with a great smile, the kind of smile that is reflected in his eyes. I'm very much an Independent. Fiscal conservative but pretty liberal in other areas. I enjoy someone who is open minded and can appreciate the diversity that life has to offer. I hope to find someone who understands that life is about continual growth and discovery. I have a good number of interests and am naturally curious, so figuring out a first date that we would both enjoy should not be difficult. But a simple lunch or drink is fine too and allows for a chance to just talk. If I order dessert or a second cup of coffee, that's a good sign ;) I'll assume it is if you do as well.
