If you are funny you have my attention. But if you can make me laugh, you will get a response. I am sophisticated, witty, dorky, sensitive and free-spirited with a bit of sarcasm...and of course a fan of adjectives. I hope to find an intelligent, caring, down-to-earth gentlemen who is self sufficient. Bonus points if you're a little quirky. If you're not allergic to my sense of humor, feel free to send me a message! jilliss at yahoo

I believe "People come into your life for a Reason, a Season, or a Lifetime!"! After a "Crazy-Great" 1st date, (the kind that makes you wonder to yourself, "Is this THE ONE?") ..only to be over before it had a chance to start. (CRUSHING!) In hindsight , I choose to look at it as a "glass half full" experience and learned a HUGE life lesson from that crappy experience...so even though everyone I date isn't a "Love Match", they may teach me something new or possibly end up being a friend I can always count on.., BUT,(that being said) ...what I'm REALLY ready for is intense passion and lasting love...NOW and for a LIFETIME!I've been described as having "High maintanence looks - with a down-to-earth personality"! (I stole it, since it fits me perfectly! Thankx!)As the Queen of my life, I have dethroned my king and am ready to find his successor. (Court Jesters need not apply) I know...it sounds bizarre to think THIS is what it has come to...Looking for a potential partner on the same laptop I shop for FABULOUS SHOES on cracks me up! On the other hand, I HAVE found some REALLY GREAT heels this way! (I'm JUST sayin!)...So I'm open to the possibly of finding a FABULOUS GUY online, too! (Why not!) I am (honestly) the type of woman when you introduce me to your friends, they end up liking me immediately because I'm fun to be around. I LOVE Portuguese Bullfights and Festas (Wanna go together?) I'm look forward to being in a LTR that includes marriage (with the RIGHT guy, not the 1st guy I meet) that "RESPECT" is the word of the day...everyday! If you don't want an action or behavior to be done to you, is it really too much to ask that you not do it to me? As for "Adult Beverages", I am a social drinker and might tie one on a few times a year. That said, I hope to find someone that prefers being in my company MORE than keeping a bar stool warm with his buddies. Frankly, the reception you receive from me at the end of a long day is VERY FAVORABLE if I don't feel like you're only home 'cuz you didn't have any other friends to "play" with. Additionally, I think I might have to take a pass on the guy going thru some mid-life crisis...Someone who is comfortable in their current life, but wants to share THAT life with an outstanding asset of a woman (ME) sounds like my kind of guy. My work schedule is (for me) perfect! I put in long work days Tuesday-Friday and get to have Saturday-Monday as "Me Time", so I have plenty of time to enjoy life again, should I find the right guy to do that with. I am definitely a "Relationship" person, over a "New flavor of the week" kinda gal and think finding a like-minded, passionate (in ALL ways) , affectionate, hand-holder with a comfort for appropriate PDA that when he kisses me, I am transported to a place where only "we" are ..."- man". I don't see myself dating someone who, (by THIS point in their life) has NEVER been married. In my book, I believe that person is TOO set in their ways won't have the ability to make the compromising that is needed to sustain a mutually respectful relationship. Also, I am "open" to a partner w/ kids, but ask that you have time to devote to building "our" relationship, as well. I have a great relationship with my ex-hubby and his wife and do family events together still. My grown kids are still very close w/ my last BF,(of 13 yrs) so it's not out of the question he join in those events, as well. I look forward to enjoying LIFE! The smell of the ocean breeze while walking the beach is a great way for me to "relax"..throw in a bottle or 2 of champagne, I call that almost perfect...include a man that I could kiss for days rocks my world in every way..I CALL THAT HEAVEN! (Is that REALLY too much to ask for?)My BIG ***was in June. I have dubbed ***the 1st year of the rest of my life"! WHO KNOWS??? With any luck, MR Right could end up being "YOU"! I'm a GREAT catch! If you are too... Let's be each others LAST 1st date! I'm Ready, Are you?...I prefer to not start a long-distance situation, as it makes it impossible to do those last minute hang out & watch TV moments, dash over & cook dinner together, or (don't think poorly of me...but I AM a grown-ass woman)"bootie calls". It also doesn't allow for the dating stuation to progress into a real relationship & learn how to effectively deal with conflicts,.(since you tend to remain in the "honeymoon" stage) I like the idea of not being rushed through a 1st meeting. Lunch usually has an expiration time, unless it's on a day when neither of us are working. Something low-pressure for both of us. I can talk to anyone & have the ability to carry the conversation, but my hopes are that I don't have to. I want to walk away from a first meeting, feeling like I have a better idea as to who you are. Humor is a great ice-breaker, so lighten up & relax...You might just enjoy yourself!

Well, here's a bit about me. I'm 47, divorced and finding that I'm having more time for myself, so now I'd like to find that special guy to spend some of that free time with. What I'm interested in is an on-going relationship based on honesty and sincerity. I want to feel that my guy is as much there for me as I would be for him. Good communication based on mutual respect. Now that I got the "serious" stuff out of the way, I do consider myself fun-loving and affectionate, and believe that having a sense of humor is a must! I'm a child of the 70's so I like the oldies music. I'm also kind of an old movies buff. I am gainfully employed and have a home. I enjoy all sorts of activities, and although I'm not a jock or anything, I do take care of myself. I enjoy watching some sports but I don't play any. I'm a mom to three kids, youngest is a teenager, which is why I have more time for me now! Well, guess that's about it, if you'd like to know more, you'll have to ask! Meet for a drink somewhere quiet.
