I am looking for my best friend. I was married for almost 15 years and when we stopped being friends, it stopped working. I am wanting to find someone that I can share all of myself with...my hopes, dreams and my daily random thoughts lol.So I have been divorced for 3 years now. I have dated a little in those 3 years and I have learned some things about what I like and what I don't like, what I want vs what I don't. I must say I am a little discouraged with the way dating is now...it's so impersonal thanks to technology. I really dislike trying to meet someone through a computer, smh what happened to meeting through friends or out in public places??? But here I am lol. My point is that everyone is in such a ****ing hurry that they don't take the time to get to know each other anymore these days. Maybe I'm old fashioned but I think being friends first is pretty important. If you just want sex...they are prostitutes trying to make a living hanging out in the streets every night and there are escort services and happy endings at massage parlors, and there are websites geared just for people who are looking for random sexual encounters...but I can not stress enough I'M NOT ONE OF THEM. Point being is I like to take my time getting to know someone. I'm not in any hurry.I'm about 5'2" with a curvy body, dark reddish brown hair, brown eyes and freckles. I am a mother of an 8 yr. old boy. I have a job and live on my own...in other words I take care of myself. I'm smart, independent, creative, adventurous, funny, sarcastic, affectionate, honest, loyal, artistic, romantic and sexy.     Hello & thanks for actually reading this. I'm looking to meet new people and see where it takes us. I'm witty, can be sarcastic, alway kind, and inquisitive. I have wonderful and loving friends & family. I'm fully self-sufficient - own my home, have almost no debt, and a fulfilling career. Being so lucky encourages me to make opportunities to help others as often as I can. I am comfortable in my own skin & happy with my life. Much of my free time is spent outside, listening to music, or exploring somewhere/something. I read a lot, mostly fiction, but lately the tables have turned more to non-fiction. Musically, I enjoy live music in small venues. I have a pretty stacked concert calendar over the next few months so I'm thrilled about that.;; the Tantrums. I love to dance though I don't enjoy clubs at all...so my dancing days have subsequently been limited.I love to travel. I've been to several interesting places for fun or to volunteer. Most recently I spent a month in the Maldives & Sri Lanka. Before that I made a few trips to Tanzania & Spain, with some other trips to various places in Europe. I am planning a trip to Portugal next summer and will likely make a stop in my favorite place - Barcelona - just because I'll be on the continent. Borneo isn't too far down the list. I really want to get to Eastern Europe and South America... the list goes on and on and on. I'd love to live overseas at some point in my life, just have to find the right opportunity.I'd like to meet someone, become friends, and (hopefully) grow from there.
