About Me

Hi! I wanted this to be brief, but clearly it's not ;) I just feel it better to get a better sense of who I am if you're interested before you take the time to message me. So. Here goes!I think there's nothing better than stepping outside your own world to discover new and interesting cultures and meet new people, whether in a different part of the country or across the globe. I'm trying to move forward with my career path but want to make sure to meet new people and have fun with experiences along the way. The latest step outside my comfort zone is taking a ceramics class for fun -- can't say I'm great at it, but I love trying new artistic ventures. You never know what you're going to create! I love to travel--mostly to central Europe, but this year I took a [too short] I expected to like it, didn't know I'd LOVE it. I'd be back on the next plane over in a second. Another thing I'm not fabulous at but love is trivia. I know some of the pop culture, entertainment (I read the news), and way out there stuff, but forget me on the sports and science (SCIENCE!). Still, I very much enjoy a chill evening out with friends. In more specific terms of likes and dislikes, here are some examples:*Music* -- When RXP came back in NY, it made my week. When they took it away -- AGAIN -- it broke my week. You get the gist. *TV* - I love British comedies and quiz shows--;Lauren" sketches (look them up, trust me), for example; also am a big Big Bang Theory fan*Sports* Sorry to say, I'm not much into sports, but I don't mind hanging out with people who do. Yes, that picture is me on the field of Yankee Stadium - I was in a friend's wedding on the field, so it still was a unique experience :) I'm actually working with a traveling exhibit in NJ that will look at sports culture and why we play sports and are fans. That, at least, is getting me a bit more interested in the sports world! This is my favorite question, as I want to travel the world: Where's the best place you've traveled/visited? WHY? Why should I visit? Who's to say a great first date is one size fits all?

"You leave me in the trenches takin grenades John!"If you wear Affliction or jewelry, wear sunglasses inside, go to the tanning bed, pose in your man-panties or like your button ups unbuttoned down to your stomach and really like to flex in your pictures.....no reason for you to message me. I have been keeping busy with work, new friends and the few people I already knew. I am looking to meet some new people and possibly find a new relationship. You have the ability to try almost any type of food, listen to any type of music... LIVE, and there are so many outdoor activities. I just started paddle boarding, still a bit awkward but it is a blast!I have been at my new job for a few months now and so far things are going great. I am finally able to enjoy what I am doing while I pay the bills! I am also currently getting my Masters from the University of Incarnate Word. I love to travel! Any opportunity I can take to go on a trip I will snatch it up. Wine country was amazing. I really want to get back to Europe, so I actually have a separate savings account that I put some money into each month to make the trip a reality. For a good first date it can be anything from a sports game, to walking around Congress, to dinner. As long as there is an opportunity to talk and get to know each other. I love movies, but for me they are the worst first date. How can you possible know if either of you are actually interested in each other if you never talk. I am pretty open and up for new things, so as long as the guy is excited about it I most likely will give it a shot.

I'm laid back, up for anything and enjoy meeting new people. At the same time, I'm somewhat of an ambitious over-achiever professionally. I have long-lasting friendships, male and female. I have references that will say I'm more of a "guy's girl." They will also confirm that I have my sh*t together for the most part :)I travel, bake, read, rehab houses, plan events, binge-watch tv series, etc. I'll try anything once. I spent ***powering through a list of 30 things to do before I turned 30.. which was a blast!Movies:Favorites include The Jerk, Fight Club, Idiocracy, Step-. You should message me if... there is something you'd like to try in Indy. ... you have a big personality.... we can drink beer, play Scrabble and get to know each other.... you agree that martini glasses are ridiculous.... you've read this far in my profile :-)You should NOT message me if ... you don't appreciate new food, places or beer ... you are very religious ... you are intimidated by independent women ... you are an introvert with any level of social anxiety I'm working in my 2nd rehab property and split my week between Broad Ripple and an hour north for work. It's made dating tough, but I'm hoping to move here full time soon.Let's grab a drink or take a walk. We can use that time to plan a good and random full-on date if we hit it off. I have a couple of single girlfriends if you think a group date would be more fun/less pressure! We're all playing a numbers game at this point, aren't we? ;-)
