hello, i grew up in the Slocan Valley in the Kootneys, I was raised by two lovely hippies with heavy influences of gardening, farming, horseback riding, famiy and all things outdoorsy! Now I find myself at age 33, living just off Main St. with a huge garden and 3 chickens..... i started hairstyling when i was 19, and have had a very successful career. i used to be quite the social butterfly with dancing being one of my favorite pastimes, and although i still like to rip it up now and again, am finding that i prefer dinner parties and bbq ing as the prefered way to socialize. my friends would describe me as being light hearted, funny, good company, almost annoyingly optimistic, a little sarcastic and very stubborn, although i prefer to think of myself as a woman who sticks to her convictions. i love to cook, swim and wrestle. put looking for a relationship, but not really expecting too much out of this site, just found when my profile said looking to date, i got far to many creeps creeping on me! just looking for someone that can hold their own and make me laugh, preferably untill theres tears running down my face!ps, not interested in married men, thanks, but no thanks. hmmmmmmm, candlelight dinner followed by a long, slow, hand held walk on the beach where you gently caress my cheek and maybe we could watch some whales fornicating.........hahahahahahaha surprise me, the company is more important than the activity, if i'm enjoying the company, then it's a successful first date!

Just out of curiosity, is there anyone, anyone, else out there who loves classical and punk music? It's such a fun beautiful city. I'm a sculptor, moonlighting as a cashier, and work mainly in glass and iron. I've recently started the exciting but slightly terrifying process of creating my own business. Despite that time consuming process I'm looking for a serious long-term relationship. I'm kind of shy at first but love spontaneity, I'm looking for someone who is adventurous and quirky who doesn't mind a dry and dorky sense of humor. I guess more specific interests are helpful, so...Books: I love to read I always have a book on me, my main guilty pleasure are sci-fi, mystery and fiction but am always happy for recommendations. Movies: well that list was too long.;TV: Dr. Who, Adventure Time, Downton Abbey, Mr. Show, Game of Thrones...Music: uh a little of everything but the regulars are punk, post-punk, darkwave, Classical (especially baroque and chamber), electronica, old-school country, ska, folk.....Food: Is it tasty? I'll give it a try. Riding bikes, drinks, a show , gallery opening. One or any combination of those is always a good start.

Mmmm...this is the hard part.I'm looking for a guy to get to know and spend some time with. Friends first and see where it goes. Ultimately someone who is looking to settle down and is past the club/bar stage. Not a hermit, just not every weekend. Ability to compromise. The older I get the more I appreciate this. A sense of humor, can laugh at himself and me. Sarcastic kind is a plus. Financial responsibility (and this doesn't mean rich, just responsible), relative happiness, and a desire to start a family (or add to it). Its great if you have kids, I just want more someday.I love to laugh and have a sarcastic sense of humor. I, at least think I'm funny :) I enjoy going out for a few drinks with friends, to concerts, long car rides, camping. but for the most part, am a homebody. I love to dance. I'm a total movie buff, but I am unfortunately one of those annoying people who makes comments throughout.
