I was born in the Azores (Portuguese) and although I’m fluent in English and all American customs I have retained my old world values and ethics. Life has been tough at times but I value those experiences and have learned from them. I value family and friends and prefer an evening with them rather than a large party. Occasionally enjoy a nice restaurant but most of the time I prefer cooking side-by-side, warm fire, and glass of wine. Like gardening, picking fresh fruit and vegetables.Life is too short. I believe that differences can be overcome and lasting love can be sustained IF two people work hard and consistently show mutual understanding, respect and cherish each other. I forgive quickly, kiss slowly and passionatelly, love deeply and truly, laugh uncontrollably, and never regret anything that has made me smile. Sometimes the word 'love' is used too looselly and when i say it i really do mean it. But this allows for one to see if they are compatible or can build an emotional relationship through communication, rather than developing just a purely physical relationship.
