I'm a single Mom, who in the past focused on my daughter and my own personal growth. I am an independent, healthy and fun person, looking to move on to the next phase of my life without a dependent child. I enjoy working around the house and gardening in my free time, basically a homebody. I love animals, and spending time with family & friends. I am diligent in being around people who are responsible, positive, and nice. I really don't care for the drama that so many people, at any age, seem to thrive on. I would appreciate a gentleman whose age has done him well, and whose friends and family consider him to have strong morals, high values, and good character, and they would get the same from me. I love listening to music, especially 50s,60,70s. It brings back great memories, since music was always in my house and still is!! I thought my parents were old at 50, however, now that that's where I am, I do not look, feel or act old! (of course, neither did they!) I also love to laugh and have a crazy sense of humor-I seriously think laughter is the best medicine!! I have been divorced for a number of years, not dating much, because I am the kind of person that believes that a parents first and foremost obligations with their time and energy is for their (minor) children. My daughter is 19 now, and has recently moved on her own and is independent and self sufficient(so, no drama there!). So if you think you we'd have some things in common and can deal with someone who wasn't/ isn't a serial dater, let me know!! I think a solid and healthy relationship is a wonderful bonus in life, not that you should spend your life with anyone, just so you are not alone.     I like reading,movies,football,dogs,swimming and I have a self deprecating sense of humor. Big fan of sarcasm,salsa and chips, snowstorms and Seinfeld (see what I did there? They all begin with the letter "S"...interesting? No? Ok,lol. I'm not so much into going to a bar....but if I do go...I like an "old joint"....I was married for 10 years then divorced...then had an 18 year relationship that I should have left much earlier...my son is grown...I feel like this is my time.....oh....one more little teeny,tiny thing: I sometimes have this tendency to go off topic during discussions....for example, we might be having a perfectly lovely conversation about quantum physics or Einsteins Theory of Relativity and I suddenly ask if you've ever seen an Amish person with a wooden leg.....because I haven't. Seriously.....think about it...(sigh....)these are the things that keep me up at night. ;). UPDATE: I apparently need to clarify something....when I said I prefer "an old joint" I meant an old Bar or club. VS a new loud, noisy club.....an. old joint. With a jukebox and a mahogany.bar....lol....not an old joint as in smoking.....lol! ***. Does anyone on this site DATE? I get lots of messages but when I suggest setting up a date, dead silence. Seriously....this isn't rocket science. Get out from behind your computer and lets go on a date! A couple drinks....some laughs....geez.....if its not a "love connection", so what? Big deal! A few hours of laughing will be fun!!!!!! ***.... Not interested in a texting relationship!!!! Coffee or drinks....some flirting....laughing and a really great kiss...
