I'm a retired vet, 5'8, little extra weight (working on it***Had a small stroke and developed COVID Long Haul Double Pneumonia in Jan ***. It took me a year and a half to recover, which is why I am losing some weight and just now getting back in shape. SHOW STOPPER? I am an incurable romantic, the last of a chivalrous breed, funny / good sense of humor, nice eyes & smile (I'm told); kind, affectionate, open-minded, respectful. I love animals, the beach, walks on the beach, sitting by a fire hanging out talking and stargazing. In the last 2 years I had to medically retire from the military (gone approx ***days a year). Not long after retiring, finally having time to spend with the love of my life, she decided she wanted to do her own thing and left. It was too late to reconnect and save the marriage. It broke my heart. I am extremely loyal and loving - when I fall, I fall hard. I finally decided it was time to be happy I can't say I am actively LOOKING for another long-term relationship, but I'm not here for a hook-up, either. I'm looking for a friend, kindness, laughs, watching movies. As far as physical contact right now? I miss someone reaching out and taking my hand. Sometimes I miss holding someone, just to feel their warmth, to hear them breathe, and to hear their heartbeat, just to feel 'connected', to remind me I didn't die when I was left alone. I try to stay busy to avoid those moments. An infectious smile, a laugh, and having someone reach out and take your hand can have a man walking 10 feet off the ground or soaring in the clouds. I'm ready to 'fly' again. I'm looking for someone with an infectious smile, nice laugh, eyes I can get lost in, kind, gentle, affectionate, open-minded, fun, good sense of humor, and giving... I"m very attentive, affectionate - touch and words of affirmation are definitely my primary love languages. If we're out walking (and you want to / feel like it) reach out and take my hand, touch my back as you walk past, give me a smile just for me...
