I do not like talking about myself but here goes. I am 40 years old, divorced with one child ***. I work two jobs. I teach children with autism during the day and graduate school at night. With work and my child's activities I am very busy, but make time for my family and friends. I consider myself to be a happy and kind person. I hope you are doing well and meeting some wonderful people in your travels. I haven't found mister right yet, but not ready to give up. So here goes..I'm a business woman and a full time mother of four, one left to get through the last two years of high school the others making lives for themselves. Being a wife and mother for many years consumed me and I loved it! I'm in a different phase now and the days of children snuggled in my lap are just fond memories, although they still keep me entertained and on the go. I've dated others with children and those without and have no preference for or against. However, I find that those who have or have had children in thier lives can better relate to my lifestyle and understand my commitment to them. Children are a gift and blessing we have been given....embrace them while you can.Since my wee ones are not so wee anymore I've began to realize I will soon have an empty nest. I just purchased my first set of used clubs in ***. Being fairly new to playing golf I could use a few tips ; I look forward to and would enjoy making plans for adventurous travels in the future when I find that special someone. I really enjoy entertaining or grilling out and having friends over on the weekends. Long walks, gazing up at the stars on a clear night, snuggling on the couch when it's cold out side, jumping in a friends boat and heading to Gilligan's Island, kicken up my heels at a local show, hitting the Comedy Club or a quiet dinner at home are all things I appreciate.Who am I looking for you ask? I'm looking for that one..... that one person that you can't wait to call and share something really hilarious or exciting with, or the one who's arms you can't wait to fall into when it's been a hard day? I know he's out there because after all, I am a girl...and a hopeless romantic. I also am looking for someone who can feel that way for me...it's a two way street. I can say that I am an open book, I appreciate honesty and integrity, I expect communication and effort from myself and others. Communication is key in any relationship and I'm not willing to sacrafice that for just your pretty face. I can't read your mind or guess what your feelings or thoughts may be..sharing is important. If you are just unable to make connections with others due to previous relationship issues, fix that before you look for someone to accept you...be fair that's all one can ask.I rarely read magazines and would rather dig into a mystery novel or biography. I love history and often wish I could go back and live in a different era just for the experience..maybe the 40's or 50's.. I love the movies, music, clothing (shoes!!) and mystery surrounding all of those icons that we can only see in "those old movies" as my kids would say.I enjoy spending time talking and laughing with my kids..they open my eyes to new and interesting things constantly.I absolutely love life and hope to find someone with as much energy and positivity as I. Believe me though, I am human and we all have those days that bring us down. I'm not looking for someone to be my life, but to share my life with. I won't follow you around like a puppy or sit and wait for you to make time for me in your schedule. As adults our lives are busy I don't ask for more than I'm willing to give myself. Eventually I hope to find a life partner..that will take time, this I know. I'm not into couch potatoes or those who would rather live in front of the television all weekend, but I do appreciate a good ball game (Badgers and Packers specifically). I'm not an adrenaline junkie, but I do want to experience as much as I can..you never know when your tomorrows are all used up. Not a fan of negative Ned's or those with a chip on their shoulder.We all go through tough times and can get in a rut now and again, but it is up to each and every one of us to make our lives what it is. Spread your wings and fly, bring joy to those around you and think of others and how you can affect them in a positive way. That is my goal on this planet...I'm just wanting to share an amazing journey with someone special when I find them.One quick note..Many of my pics show me as blonde but I am now a very dark brunette ;) On a first date let's go have lunch, coffee, or a walk at the zoo. Spend some time talking and getting to know each other....and go from there:) Who knows...let's just enjoy the ride for now.First dates are tough. We all want to put our best foot forward and be respectful of the person we are getting to know. That is a good thing:) However, I don't want to feel that I was lied to down the road, that does not do any of us any good. Please don't waste my time or yours in doing so. Be your self, tell me who you are and what you enjoy. I want to get to know you...the real you, but give me the courtesy of allowing me to do the same.
