Hi there,I believe all things happen for a reason. I live a comfortable life and appreciate the little things life has to offer. Was married for 29 years and here I am. :-)I consider myself to be a very kind, compassionate woman who loves her family/friends and loves life. I'm an optimistic woman who always tries to find the positive in every situation. Drama is not a part of my life.The mother of three grown children, it is now time for me. It's great having adult kids because they get it.I'm content being at home but love to be active spending time outdoors. I enjoy music, dancing, going out to dinner and a play, watching sports and an occasional wine tasting. Love going for long walks and being near the water. I am not afraid to try new things as long as I feel comfortable. On my "to do" list I would like to travel more, and experience new things. I do feel we need to keep ourselves in the best possible shape we can, both in mind and body. For some it comes easy, for others it's a work in progress. The type of man I find attractive is a man with confidence, but not arrogant. It's all about the eyes and smile that get my attention. Although we are all beautiful people, there has to be a physical attraction for me as well, and I think I'm speaking for us all. A Man who takes pride in himself, is positive, can make conversation. A man who is understanding, fun and caring, but most of all can make me laugh. A good hearty belly laugh that brings tears to my eyes is the best. :-) An active man who enjoys being outdoors as well as getting out on the dance floor. Someone who loves those weekend trips or just a drive on a Sunday afternoon. A man who only is with me and does not have wandering eyes. Someone who is loyal to the woman he is with. I am not looking for a player. A gentleman who compliments his partner, opens the door and even more impressive is when they walk on the "correct" side of a woman. Would you happen to know what side that is? :-) I'm independent but also enjoy being treated like a lady. I know now what I don't want in a relationship.     About me: I recently got out of a 7 year relationship/engagement in which our vast differences couldn't be overcome; needless to say I've certainly realized the importance of moral compatibility and mutual respect. I did get a beautiful daughter out of the experience who is now 5 and I firmly believe that things happen for a reason, even though understanding that reason may come much later! I work f/t, am a single mother, and am in graduate school, however, I wouldn't mind meeting somebody that sparks my interest enough to occupy what little free time I have. And if you think burning jello is sexy, than I'm your girl ;-) I am very intimidated to put myself out there in this fashion, as this is my first go around with online dating but I am trying to be a bit more adventurous lol. I would much rather meet somebody in person but supposedly this is the new way to meet others/socialize so I'm receptive, albeit still cautious. I do have some deal breakers: criminal record, drug user, smoker (even the occasional "puff"-- it's a total turn off!), lack of license/transportation, and if you have no goals or a career, I'm not going to be interested. My biggest pet peeve in communication is an error in spelling. I also feel that recent pictures are important; I am not shallow however I've met a couple of people who look dramatically different in person which just irks me! Lol Lastly, I have no problem being alone, but I have realized that I definitely miss having a connection with somebody, text messages that make me smile, and the anticipation of seeing them. Hmm. Amusement park. Beach at night. Sox game. Concert. I like all kinds of music but country is my favorite. I'm a sucker for good conversation and I'm pretty low-frills.I have always been the one to coordinate plans so it would be awesome to be surprised for once! : )

    Upbeat and compassionate vegan who is always looking for the positive things in life. I am interested in profound and deep conversations about life in general...so intelligence is a must have. I definitely think men who can keep me engaged intellectually are very sexy. :)Humor is also important. If you can make me laugh and don't take life too seriously then thats awesome!I am looking for someone that is never bored, and always has ideas on things to do. Be it from going to shows, traveling, sight seeing, exercising...whatever, just be active! Please be honest and a man of integrity. I am accountable for my actions, and I hope you are too. Communication is key to any relationship, and being able to express yourself openly and genuinely is important...if you are not afraid to express yourself this way than those would be pluses in my book.Lastly, I am looking for something that is more connected then the casual thing: an actual relationship.
