About Me

I am a widow and I have 1 daughter that just returned home from Army training on her 20th birthday! I absolutely love all children and they love me too! They keep me "Young at Heart" and many refer to me as a "Kid Magnet"!! I provide Child Care during the day and by night I am a Dance ***! I'm so excited that along with the Dance Studio where I teach, I am celebrating my 40th Anniversary of teaching dance!! :) I am a very kind, caring and compassionate person and people constantly tell me that I have the "Patience of a Saint"! I am also a very honest, down to earth and responsible woman with a good sense of humor and respect for others as well as their feelings. I value my family and friends immensely! I am very appreciative of what others do for me and I of course ALWAYS reciprocate every kind deed! I am "up with the times" yet a bit "old-fashioned" as well. I place a lot of importance on keeping my family traditions alive and my specialty is preparing/serving all the ethnic foods on Christmas Eve ...my favorite Holiday of the year! I have "varied" interests and I always dress according to the occasion! I enjoy going to casinos, movies, dining out, day/weekend trips, relaxing by a lake or on the beach, picnics, festivals, yard sales/flea markets, amusement parks and more but I am always willing to try new things too! I am a "Jack of ALL Trades" and a master at pretty many with the exception of anything electrical or car repairs!! LOL! I'm NOT afraid to get my hands dirty!! I can do anything from cooking, cleaning and sewing to gardening and home improvements! As far as T.V. shows, I like Sitcoms, Home Improvement Shows, the Food Channel, American Pickers, Pawn Stars, a good Drama and anything to do with Dance! I love music and since it goes with my job, I enjoy all types of music with the exception of Heavy Metal ...but I could bend a bit on that! I believe that COMMUNICATION is the key to any GREAT relationship and romance is very important to me as well. I'm the type to leave little notes or small gifts to surprise my partner but expect that they would do the same for me. I also LOVE preparing special romantic dinners every now and then with a beautifully set table, candlelight, good food, wine and soft music. I'm looking for a SPECIAL man that knows how to treat a lady and I am the type of lady to give my partner lots of TLC!! I want a "MAN" that is HONEST, RESPECTFUL, CARING & CONSIDERATE. I have many good qualities and I'm in search of a partner that has those same qualities too ...someone who doesn't play mind games, lie, cheat, etc... and would like to take the time to get to know me and see where it might lead. For now, friends and dating but eventually hoping for a long term relationship with the right man!P.S. If you IM and I don't respond, it's only because I have trouble w/my IM at times!     I enjoy the outdoors and would rather find something to do to be outside. I hated pulling weeds then, but believe doing this as a child gave me the love of gardening now. Doesn't matter where I move to, I always find a small plot of ground to dig up :) Yes, I do make home-made meals, no boxes and most of my freezer is filled with fresh frozen veggies. I also own my own sewing machine and I do use it. Now ask me if my children have the same talents......uhhh no. Times have truly changed. Although my oldest daughter who was just married last year is now starting to plant a small vegetable garden. I guess I have started to rub off after all.... This is where my love of fishing comes from.Having 4 girls, my father taught us what we needed to know to take care of ourselves. All of us can tile a floor, *** new faucet or ceiling fan, change a tire, shingle a new roof, or try and fix something broken before getting new. It has come in handy in my past marriage but would like a little help from time to time. I enjoy riding my bike either on the road for great cardio exercise or leisurely through bike trails or neighborhoods enjoying the scenery and the sounds of nature for a relaxing release of tension. I do like to play golf but have not played in a few years. I have played volleyball competitively since high school and this is the first year I have not been on a team because of moving recently. I did however sub on my daughter's team while visiting this summer and I must say, I kept up and felt great! Guess I'm NOT ready to quit yet!I have always wanted to take couples dancing lessons and would love to find a man that is up for the challenge or one who could teach me enough to get around the dance floor.I love music and my passion is wine tasting and smooth jazz, they compliment each other so well, just what I'm looking for - a great pairing with a man sharing my similar tastes and interests. I am an optimist and will NOT settle for negativity.I am so overwhelmed by people on here who just want a "quickie". I'm not like that. The truth is, I do have hope for real true love someday. Someone who takes my breath away. Surprise me. I LOVE surprises!
