How do you sum yourself up in one paragraph? A good place to start with me is my faith. It should always be the most important thing in my life, but like anyone, I often fall short. That said, I am heavily involved in ministry in my spare time. All kinds. Ask me about it sometime. For my day job, I am a social worker with the intellectually disabled. Ask me about this also. I love my job and love to share about it. I have a second, just-for-fun job at the local video rental store. Mostly because I love talking to and meeting new people. Family is very important to me--both the one you're born into and the ones you choose. I believe sometimes friends are as close to you as family. I'm a perpetual learner. Not a day goes by that I don't strive to expand my knowledge. (Let's just say, I have some pretty useless knowledge stored away!)In the next few years, I'd like to buy a home, finish a master's program, among a few other things. I find joy and happiness in the small things: sunrises, a small bouquet of flowers, time spent with friends, a mug of my favorite coffee, a night spent curled up reading, my favorite song on the radio. Warning I can sometimes randomly start singing and dacing but it's part of my charm. I am also very close with my family and love hanging out with my little cousins. Love my anthropology classes in school. I love board games and I enjoy watching people play video games I try to play as well (I suck and own it!). I'm not into going to clubs and getting drunk so if you're a party animal we will probably not work outWhat I'm looking forSomeone who is caring is is a very important quality for another person to have. Also I want someone who is open with me about how they feel and what is going on in their life. Someone who can make me laugh is also very important although it isn't hard to make me laugh. It is important that I can count on someone to be there for me when I need them. I am a hopeless romantic and would love if a guy could be romantic sometimes. It is important that I can just hang out with a guy and just spend an evening at home together talking and watching t.v I really want someone who can be my best friend and boyfriend also if you cook that is a huge plusI have learned that it is important that the person I am with believe in God or some sort of higher power or at least be open to the idea I don't need someone that has religion in their every day lifestyle or anything like that but I had issues with previous relationships since they did not believe in God and I could not talk with them about that when it came up in my life. Plus I enjoy having conversations about my thoughts on serious issues such as religion. Of course we will not have the same thoughts on everything but this is one that is important to me.Someone who has had a previous long term relationship would be perfered don't feel like teaching someone person what is normal in a relationship and all that stuff for a third time.Also would like it if you are planning on staying in Calgary I don't plan to ever leave and I don't want to form a serious relationship or connection with someone just to have to deal with them leaving. Also if you are judgmental homophobic or any of those types of things I'm not intersted people should be able to love and marry whoever they wish.
