If being a professional outdoor enthusiast is so hard...Why am I having so much fun at it? Yep, I'm living the dream...are you? I am outgoing and vivacious. While not necessarily a whirlwind of constant activity, I am not willing to sit still and watch life go by. I prefer doing to watching, and am more likely to go skiing, biking, or just go to the gym or the beach than spend hours in front of the tv, or sit around the house. I am at my best when I'm on the go, and I feel better at the end of the day when I've done something physical. I can put my hair up in a ponytail and go just about anywhere, or put on heels and a dress depending on the occasion. I am well travelled and there are still many places I want to explore...it would just be more fun to have someone to share it with...don't worry, I can carry my own backpack and set up my own tent! I can go from hostels to five star hotels without any problem...sometimes on the same trip! I discovered sea kayaking a few years ago, and I'm hooked! I even have a second kayak so I can bring someone along without the hassle of going to the city to rent one..yes, the one with the most toys wins!!;) I've also been doing sprint triathlons over the past 4 summers but this year I'll only be swimming and biking...no running due to a knee that keeps protesting and a physiotherapist that seems to agree with it...So if you have a sense of adventure, and a valid passport the possibilities are endless ;) On the serious side of things...I am university educated (Phys Ed and Linguistics) and I have a real job ***years and counting!) I can also hold a converstaion and discuss the "topic of the day" or anything else that catches the imagination. I appreciate chivalry and praise good manners. I feel lucky to have lived on both sides of this beautiful country and I have not yet felt the urge to move anywhere else..the mountains, the ocean..we do have it all and it is ours to discover! I love to cook whether it be in a gourmet kitchen, or camping you can be sure it will be tasty :) Just the "girl next door" looking for my "boy next door"...just have to knock on a lot of doors before finding the right one..I look and feel way younger than my drivers' licence says I am, and with any luck, you do too.. My weaknesses are red wine, dark chocolate, spicy foods, and sushi, and I'm a sucker for a cute smile! I have a great sense of humour, and I'll dance to anything..yes, even Country but you'll have to lead on that one ... also, I don't take myself too seriously..I'm here aren't I? About the dating thing...let's start with dating, and see where it goes...Oh yeah...if you smoke...you'd better be on fire...this is non-negotiable...A casual meeting to see if there is chemistry...sit, chat, walk...after that who knows where it could go...

The first thing I notice when meeting someone is their smile. I'm looking for someone with a warm and friendly smile. And maybe that sparkle in their eyes when they see me. Someone to enjoy the everyday pleasures of life with. I love to laugh and joke around.When contemplating the idea of on-line dating and trying to imagine what others thought of me, I drew a blank, so I just asked a friend of mine to describe me. He said I was kind and caring. Intelligent, a little outspoken, and funny. We had worked beside each other 8 hours a day for about 6 years, so I took his word on this. I love the sound and smell of rain, the warmth of the sun on cool Autumn day, the dance of the colorful leaves on the breeze of fall, the sight, sounds and smell of large bodies of water, walking in the sand, laughter of children, a cold crisp day of winter with the snow lightly falling, candle light, the warmth and crackle of an open fire, kissing, holding hands, snuggling and the list goes on......The best thing that has ever happened to me to date is becoming a Grandmother. This has to be the "ultimate experience" life has to offer :-)I do believe in chemistry in a relationship. One complimenting the other. Two halves, so to speak, making a whole. I enjoy simple things as well special things. I want an uncomplicated, life-long, loving partner. Life is what you make it, so it can be boring or it can be an adventure. The adventure is not in where you go or what you do but in the attitude and perspective that you have while going and doing. So with the right person, going to a flea market looking for a special item, could be a treasure hunt. Or walking on the beach and watching the sun set could be a romantic getaway. I guess it's about enjoying the moment and having someone to share it with. No matter how grand or how small. Life has so many great things to offer if we are open to them. I just want someone to share whatever comes our way.I love nature and animals. I love landscaping and other yard projects. I also do small (sometimes large) indoor projects. I have a creative nature so I have allot of artistic interests. I'm fun loving and like to joke around. I'm optimistic and like to find the positive in any given situation. That is not always easy and sometimes I forget to look but not often. I would like to find someone who has a positive outlook on life in general. Someone who might share my interest or at least tolerate them. Some one who might like to go to a movie, eat out once in a while. Go places and do things that, one or the other of us has already experienced and found enjoyable, or better yet do something or go some place that has been a desire to either or both.
