Hello I am professional Military career guy here. I have been in the Navy for 16 years and will continue on to ***years. After life in the military I would like to work for myself doing something low stress and that I enjoy. I'm single never been married and I don't have any kids. I am a shy guy and take a while to open up. I am quiet by nature and if I do speak it is very brief and to the point. I am easy going and laid back. Most people who know me admire that in me. I have a good work ethic and take pride in what I do.Many have said I have a good sense of humor. I use sarcasm a lot and sometimes need to keep my smartas$ comments to myself. Some people don't understand my sense of humor but oh well. I am a bit of a music geek. I am into a lot of genres of music but I just cant get into rap, hip hop, techno or that very angry metal music. I did play guitar and bass a couple years ago and got pretty good at it but I have let them collect dust lately and my skills are rusty along with my strings. I am not much of a sports guy. I don't watch Football, Baseball, or Basketball on TV but I will go to a game from time to time. My sports to watch on TV are Formula One racing and Hockey. I am into cars and things automotive. I enjoy driving and working on them. I do love animals. I grew up around them and dogs and cats seem to make fast friends with me almost always. Dinner, coffee, a movie I am open to suggestions. It depends on what you would like to do. Something simple for the first date.

Because this site's like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get - I have to confess I have tried meetville before ...Previously I only lasted a short time, but I have learned my lessons well. I do believe there are cool, 'normal', people here - it's just a little hard going with the noise that a lot of 'the crazies' seem to make, ha! Sorry to be harsh. So briefly about me; I'm a hard working man, committed to my career, stable and able! I understand the importance of work and life being in balance. So I also enjoy; getting out (on any kind of adventure), cooking new or fun things, music (pretty much most of the time) and perhaps a bit randomly, I play American Football at a good competitive level for a decent team. I like being social, love comedy and can get along with anyone - except people who are *** arrogant (I have a real allergy for them). That's a tiny place right on the Border, just past the North Lakes ...you can't miss it - nothing but beautiful wilderness, usually about ***huge Americans getting married ...and 3 confused sheep standing there in horizontal rain, just looking at them in bemusement like "what the f... dudes! It's freezing here!!"..then I spent the next 10 years using my job as an opportunity to live and work abroad for my clients in quite a few countries. 10 years was long enough though, and I recently decided to come back to the UK. I'm committed to settling down now and living in one place (or at least one country) and just looking forward to enjoying the fruits of my effort more. I think (if you are meeting someone you've never met before), it's probably best to meet up somewhere that we both feel pressure free and relaxed. Just a simple drink or a cup of coffee, somewhere that you can actually hear each other speak and neither of you feels 'cornered in'(e.g. five course dinner, late night cinema, in your parents car, 24hr stranded on a remote island - these are all typically bad ideas)
