I am a single mom of a wonderfully sarcastic 18 year old son.I am a special education teacher and I love what I do. I just finished my Master's Degree in Educational Administration. I love to enjoy life. I love being a mom, I love my job and I love to try new things. I am close to my family and enjoy spending time with them. I have a dog. A Rottweiler/Blue Heeler mix. I also love a good Broadway musicals and traveling. I'm not a huge thrill seeker (no parachuting out of planes for me) but I do like to try new and exciting things.I love to do charity runs and am working toward a half marathon.I like the outdoors and enjoy bike rides, hikes and kayaking. I have been dying to go on a primitive hike. I am a very even tempered person. I am honest and genuine. No games here. I believe what you see is what you get. No need in acting like something I'm not. I can't stand drama so no baggage here. I am a little bit of a romantic. I love sweet little gestures. A text in the middle of a long day at work to say hi or you miss me. Showing up unannounced with Chinese take out or even something as simple as picking up a movie at the video store that you know I wanted to see. It's the little things. I don't expect to be showered with flowers, gifts and candy, I just like to feel special to that certain someone. I'm also very big on showing my loved ones how much I care and appreciate them.It might be a massage after a hard day a work or your favorite dinner. I just want to find that one person I can't live without. If you want more in depth info please feel free to ask. Basically when it comes down to it..... I just want to fall in love. Just a quick note: my mother has cancer and us going through chemotherapy. To supper her I shaved my head.I love to talk. I would have to say one of my favorite hobbies is talking. Good conversation is such an exciting pastime. So I guess my ideal date would be anywhere where we could have a great conversation.

Well let's see, I'm now 35 years old, and can actually admit it, and have had no luck finding that someone special through the "usual" ways. I am a fifth grade teacher which does not allow for much contact with people of the opposite sex. What it does allow for is a lot of smiles and laughter with the kids.I'm not one of those girls that are afraid to get dirty. When camping, I'm the one pitching the tent, carrying fire wood, or baiting the hook for fishing. This is not to say that I don't also like to have my nails look good while I'm doing it :o) I think I'm a pretty laid back person. I enjoy traveling, theater, movies out or at home, and the casino and bars(challenge you to a game of darts) on occasion. Occasionally I go a little crazy, like skydiving. Everyone always says, "I'm looking for this, or I'm looking for that." I'll admit that when I was younger my list was ten miles long. I've come to realize, in my older age :), that what I am looking for is someone who is not into games, unless we're talking Clue. Someone who doesn't feel that they need to be at the bar every Friday and Saturday simply b/c it's Fri. or Sat. I am the type of person who can sit on the couch watching a movie or UFC one night, throw on dorky bowling shoes the next, and end the weekend at a Broadway show. I would love someone who could join me doing all of this. Finally, I am looking for someone who will just be my best friend and treat me the same way he would like to be treated himself. That's not too much to ask, is it?? :o)A first date requires good conversation over dinner or drinks at the minimum. Although conversation over a well brewed cup of coffe is always nice too. Surprise me.
