Sometimes life feels like a hamster wheel we keep running around in, but never get very far. Perhaps that is part of the journey or maybe it is what we are meant to do. Keep traveling in one direction without a destination. Let's not confuse my cynicism with all out negativity. Reality is simply the hard truth that requires acceptance and understanding. In my life, I've lived through good, bad, horrible, and indifferent times. All the while I've always maintained a decent comprehension of who I am. The strength to rise above adversity with my head high has molded a very strong willed person. There is not much I won't say when it's on my mind. Lost that filter years ago! hahaha My sense of humor (albeit a little quirky, twisted, raunchy, and sarcastic at times) has always kept me smiling through life. No matter what life threw at me a smile was present to not allow others to see what was on the inside. Contrary to my pictures smiling is part of my life. Don't judge me! hahahaha At times, my sense of humor allowed others to find their smile through difficult moments. A little bit of laughter goes a long way. My family (although dysfunctional), and close friends, are very important in my life. There is not a huge circle of friends, but there are a few that have been with me through a lot. My life is mostly centered around the simple things most *** over style. Quality over quantity. If the point has escaped you, I'm looking for simplicity and people who know what they want in this life. Not looking to be a stepping stone for those who have no clue. Neither am I looking for a hang out partner. I'm not a child but a grown man who knows full well what he wants. There was a time when serial dating was appropriate in my life. Been there and done that. Life isn't easy. Neither are real relationships. Everything we want takes work. Recent, and past events, have shown me that people who have addiction problems, of any kind, do not fit into my lifestyle. If we're able to love and respect ourselves, we'll be able share that with others. I'm looking for someone who wants something meaningful and lasting. A woman who's able to become my friend first and then go from there. Someone who is still able to see me for who I am during challenging times and able to laugh with me through them. Not someone who fails to see their partner beyond their own ego or past their nose. Laughter and fun are very important. Good, respectful people who understand each other truly are able to find fun in the most obscure places. People who live an active lifestyle fit in with how my life is lived. I'm at the gym ***times a week, eat healthy, and love to hike in spring and fall. Looking to find other physical activities that would keep me young and mobile. Anyone up for Yoga?? LOL. I am sure you have reviewed the information above and so i am not going to re-type it over again. I will organize this form in a subject setup for easy review. My day to day job involves disaster prepardness planning and training. I am also a volunteer firefighter and Search and Rescue operations and have 18 years experience. I love to serve my country and community. I love my job and will not trade it for the world. What am I looking for I am looking for a kind soul. a lady with her priorities set and goal oriented. I would like someone to share my life my experiences and my dreams with. I need someone that will not be mad if i get called out at 2 am or have to be deployed for weeks at a time to help out another area. I will be honest living with an emergency responder is not easy. Most are a type A personality. We are a tight group of people and take care of of each other both mentally and physically. Why am i hereI am here because i am not a bar hound. My free time is valuable and i like to head home and decompress after work. I have a 8 year old lab Search K-9 and i enjoy working with him. I also enjoy working at my shop creating the wonderfull vehicles that someday may pull you over :) My new years resolution is to get back on track a bit and find someone to settle down with. As you can tell for almost 20 years i have been consumed with helping others before me. I will never change that but i am trying really hard to enjoy life and get back to a semi normal life, what ever that is. I am hoping to find someone that can help me with that.
