I'm a career-oriented individual, with a dorky sense of humor. Most people either laugh hard at my antics, or just don't get me! But I always appreciate a pity laugh. ha!Conversation thrills me. I can be amazingly provocative and witty when in deep discussion about anything. But I love to learn, and find myself asking questions often. Hopefully that helps make me a good listener. I view myself as a nerd. But, I'm an athletic nerd! (not sure if this is making me sound better) Keeping healthy and fit is quite important to me, as well as what I eat. I'm no vegetarian, but I do stay clear of greasy things. However, I do admit I have a guilty pleasure: soft candy. It's like kryptonite to me!I've been lucky enough to have traveled the world. Which helped me grow a sense of open-mindedness. I appreciate different types of foods and tastes.Also, I used to be a musician, and thus I have a great respect for music and performing artists. On a side note, I really like the sound of rain against the window. Want to know more about me! just ask. I'm a very open book. Plus, I love meeting interesting people. I try to be unique. First dates can be the weirdest. Since people don't know how to feel about each other in the beginning. And I feel like I've failed if I can't make people laugh. So, even a pity laugh will make my day.Whatever happened to chivalry? I'm very old school. Men should always pay, open doors, offer their arm, and fly around like superman! I'm amazed to hear there's not much of that left. Especially the superman part!! geezI love to dress up (suit/tie) and do a fine dining evening, on occasion. Dressing up seems to make a difference in our demeanor. At the same time I really like the simplicity of grabbing pizza and renting a movie.

If you don't enjoy pushing yourself physically then we probably aren't a good match. I don't want to have to choose between spending time with my partner or going out to do the fun, healthy things I love to do. I would choose the woman, because nothing in life is more powerful than love. Since I don't want to give up that active, healthy part of my life I don't date people who don't share that lifestyle. I know I'm not, but I like girls who like to hike uphill. I prefer getting together for coffee or lunch as a first meeting. If we like each other we can plan a real date. Now the actual first date is another story. Local events are great. A nice dinner filled with good conversation followed by a walk down main street can be a lot of fun with plenty of time to get to know one another. If we are lucky enough to pick the right date we could go up on the National Monument to catch a meteor shower. Dinner and a movie are fine if you have been dating a while and are comfortable together, but I try to avoid cliches on first dates. No matter what we do you can expect me to be a gentleman. I open doors, prefer to pay, and will give you my coat if you are cold. That is how I was raised and I have no interest in changing that aspect of myself.
