About Me

Love this state... Great coffee, great wine, and the perfect fall weather.I enjoy being outdoors, playing and watching sports, spending time with my family, reading, and sitting on my porch. I have a house on 5 acres that I built 3 years ago. Moving isn't out of the picture but it is my dream house. That being said I understand life takes you places and some times you just have to go with it.I'm a science nerd...get use to it, it's my job. I have a couple different degrees and currently I run the molecular diagnostics department in a lab at a hospital. I work mostly with DNA and infectious disease. Please avoid zombie apocalypse questions...yes I have a sense of humor but it's getting old...I have a pretty dry sense of humor and I am very blunt and sarcastic but there is a time and a place for everything. Im a big kid at heart, and get pretty goofy... Life is to short not to enjoy it. I have a lot of drive and am one of those people who is always trying to make herself better. I don't mind lazy days, but I can't stand a lazy lifestyle.I grew up a tomboy and while things have changed a bit, I don't mind getting dirty and even though things can make me nervous, I want to be taught things and I love to learn. You never know if you like something until you try it. I was a big athlete growing up so I enjoy staying active; I recently within the past year picked up running and have started doing 8k and 10k's. I grew up in a small town and like it that way. I'm use to having bonfires and having a cold beer sitting on the tailgate of a truck. I grew up around cars. My family means the world to me and I see them a lot; that is something that will never change. I take pride in being an awesome Aunt.Faith is important to me. Morals are important to me, I'm very much about doing the right thing. Don't get me wrong though, some rules are made to be broken. If you want to know more, just ask.     I'm not a perfect person but I'm someones idea of perfect and I just have to find that person. Hiya! Let me just start out by saying that I love to cook! I have a ton of cook books that I will read and get some inspiration out of. I don't really like to go by a recipe, just like to make it up as I go. Much more fun that way. Holidays are crazy busy which is not as much fun sometimes. I love to see them though. I have one older brother who is in the army and was recently married so I now have 4 nieces and nephews. I love all of them so much. I am very proud of him and miss him everyday. I like to go out with friends on occasion but would rather stay home and watch a movie or play games with the one I am in a relationship with. There a select few of my friends that are really important to me and I love them dearly. They have always been my rocks and support team to lean on. You should know that I can be severely sarcastic. My friends have described my as bubbly and amiable and I can be a spaz sometimes. My family calls me nuts on a daily basis. They have also said that I am one of the most hopeless romantic people they have met and that I can be kind of blunt. I love my love stories! I LOVE being goofy and I am hardly ever serious. Makes life so much more interesting that way. Majority of the time I am joking. I am hardly ever serious. I love to read! I have a few favorite books but can't state just one that I really love. I love music. I listen to almost everything with an exception to a few genres. I really don't like rap at all. I love my oldies though. I really like her. She was amazing in her time. Want to know my favorite songs? Then just ask! I have 3 tattoos and want to get more. I have one on the back of my neck for my great grandmother who is still alive at ***years old. I have another one for my mom's mom, so my grandma. My grandma is one of my best friends. I love her and respect her dearly.
