About Me

I'm kind of 'the girl next door'...a feminine, classy yet outdoorsy woman. I enjoy live music venues, art exhibits, kayaking, trailer camping and fishing...when I get the chance...if I only had a handsome man to rig my fishing pole! Like to dance & don't get to do that enough. I'm not saying I'm a good dancer, but I do it with enthusiasm. Come to think of it, that pretty much describes my fishing skills...my singing...Proud to be a true-blue native Texan Aggie of Polish/German descent & a half country/half city girl. Raised Catholic, I now attend a large non-denominational church for prayer & fellowship. I've taken some fantastic classes there, too. My faith sustains me in difficult times & helps me live daily with a full & grateful heart. I'm a working professional, planning to retire in a few years and dreaming of new ventures. I'm active, healthy and work at getting fitter & stronger.I like to cross-train...what are you into? Though it might sound as if I'm on the go all the time, I actually love my time at home, cooking, home & garden projects. Am & always have been a dedicated Mom & cherish time with my beautiful daughter & son-in-law, family & friends.; an organic farm (both run by friends of mine.) Love to travel! Have seen some of S. Love our American West, dark nights, starry skies, moonlight out beyond the city lights. I prefer a good home life to the party life & am not into the bar scene. But occasionally meet friends for a drink after work. Driving through the Hill Country to visit TX wineries/small towns, Sunday Songs at Luckenbach is a good time. Scuba diving is one of the best thing I've ever done. Am thinking of taking that up again. I'd also like to get good at swing dancing. It would be nice to have a partner!I like men (and people in general) who are smart, gentle, at peace with themselves, have a wide range of interests & value meaningful conversation.;ranch background. Not looking for a pen pal/endless ***'d like to move beyond that to talking on the phone and - if mutually agreed - to meet. I'd enjoy getting to know you on a friends first basis, and hopefully discover that we genuinely enjoy each other's company. Like everyone else on here, I'm looking for true love. But - even though I realize life is short - there's no rushing it. Some things just happen, if they're meant to. So...if you're still reading...how am I doing here?     independent (uh-oh) artsy, happy, low-maintenance kind of gal with various interests.looking for friends and more.i've had a great time in my life. adventure has always been a running theme for me. i work hard but play with even more ferocity. at this point i'm most interested in the quality of time spent. brain massage first then whatever may follow.my will is free.i live alive.open to possibility , there are always new stories to collect. starts with waking up every day : ) a simple trip to the grocery store can lead to a strange and hilarious experience.lucky me. i pulled the short straw. my brother taught me to be strong physically (by default !) but he also taught me how to take care of myself. like how to fix the water heater in the middle of the night.not the girly-girl type, i prefer power tools over diamonds(allergic to metals--even gold-- can't wear them but i can use them)...i've got the woman thing down however--i clean up pretty well or so i am told.i attribute that to the discriminating french men and women i lived with in a flat in SF years ago. cracks me up, the reaction i get when i show up for a function in heels and hose. a chameleon of sorts. comfortable in work boots AND stilettos..my son is ,flown the nest and rarely lets me cook for him anymore, he's got his own women taking care of that. but i love to cook. i get a secret thrill after spending the whole day preparing a gourmet meal and then presenting it. then reveling in the inevitable food moaning that ensues.my work can be corporate at times. completely against my grain (hairspray vs. holllyhocks in my locks) but i understand it and morph accordingly when necessary.time away from that madness is spent mucking about my gardens, feeding my brain, and sometimes staring at the clouds from above.every new day has potential for more laughter.serenity now! intelligence and.laughter are essential.if it's cold out, something inside.i can handle a brisk walk in a snowstormbut i prefer the sultry steamy sass of summer. conversation then collaboration.
