About Me

Depending on the situation or activity, I can be low-key and reserved or high-energy. And, it's difficult to compare myself with others but I feel I'm in very good physical shape...I enjoy hiking, cycling (road cycling and rail-trails) and still use my cross-country skis. My preference would be to enjoy your company and get to know you while we spend time together outdoors...why don't we meet up to go kayaking, canoeing, hiking, or sailing together? (There are many rivers and lakes to explore in Pa.) When I have any free time, I prefer spending it outdoors or going to concerts. I studied visual arts in college and taught arts & humanities for most of my career.- June through mid- At some point, I would like to ..canoe in the Adirondackes, sail anywhere, hike in the White Mts. of NH, Shining Rock Wilderness Area in NC or State Parks in Pa., do some star-gazing in remote areas, and find time to draw/paint outdoors. I've had to be practical while raising my daughter and have stuck it out for her (in the middle of nowhere and hours from anywhere). Now that I can retire..or cut back to an easier part-time job, I will have more time to travel. I am seeking direction on this site (but, I wonder is this too idealistic or unrealistic?..).), enjoy the outdoors, learn a folk ***, and spend more of my free time volunteering. Music: americana 'roots', folk, world, celtic, swing/big band, some rock. Favorite recent songs: 'That's the way love goes.' (Shawn Colvin &; Ride). Books: currently reading The Plot Against America. Favorite books last year: The Warmth of Other Suns: The Epic Story of America's Great Migration, Blink, Outliers. It's also nice to get together for an activity such as a hike.

Woman. 52 years old. Zodiac sign: Libra.

Looking for: man. In age: 49-59

Hi there! and welcome!I appreciate you stopping by to have a look and wish you well in your search to find true love.I am a kind, compassionate, 52 year old woman who loves life and loves to laugh. To me, a sense of humoris the sexiest thing in the world, and if you can make me laugh we are well on our way. I enjoy spending time at the beach.... swimming, floating, boating, fishing, camping and just laying around in the sun.My Christian faith is very important to me, and my hope is that it would also be very important to the man in my life.As I mentioned, I do love camping, fishing, etc, HOWEVER... I currently have some health issues that prevent me from participating in more strenuous activities, like hiking, biking, mountain climbing, etc.... so if that is something that is important in a partner, I am not the one for you.I also enjoy quiet things like gardening, movies, reading, cards, cribbage. Also enjoy road trips, drives on a rainy Sunday afternoon, coffee shops and of course, shopping! :)If you have read this, and still feel like we might be a match, I would love to hear from you.I appreciate you taking the time to say hi. I will not be answering any messages without a picture attached,or if I feel we probably would not be a match.May all your dreams come true, and may you have the desires of your heart. probably coffee to start........... just to see if we hit it off at all

First let me just say, I hate liars. If you find it hard to tell the truth, keep on moving. Lying gets you no where. The will truth always will come out at some point, so why even start? I love music, drives in the country, pda's, exploring new places, mountains, family, friends, football, cooking, shooting pool,(although I suck at it) any body of water. Anything else just ask. Depends..

Looking for: man. In age: 48-58

I told my friend this is what I'm looking for. She thought it was cute and told me I should use it the next time I make a profile. This should tell you something about my personality... any good looking (or mediocre) rich (or at least working) with a cool (or at least running) car, and living on his own (or with a dog) SINGLE guys! He MUST be sarcastic, or at least have a thick enough skin to not be offended easily! I'm not a mean sarcastic, just a fun one... :)I love camping, country music, riding quads and being on the back of a motorcycle (but it's not a requirement for my guy to have one!) , my dog (minpin/chichiuhau mix) I like gardening (flowers mostly), woodworking, hiking, the ocean, the mountains, big cities, and small towns. I live in the country and was born and raised there, but have also lived in a small town.I like Nascar but haven't gotten to go to a race for a few years.I've been at the same job for almost 8 years. I drive a Subaru Forester, which isn't paid off but also is paid for by me and me alone. One of the most important things to me is honesty. I've been let down by the best. It's left me sad, but not bitter and still able to believe there's one good one still out there for me.Also, if you live more than an hour away, I'm probably not the one for you. I believe distance can be a huge factor in a good relationship.I don't wanna give you all the dish...we'll need something to talk about on the phone and maybe a first date! Take care and happy fishing!p.s. I don't believe in chatting on here for weeks either. If you are genuinely looking for someone special, you will make the time to meet early on and save each other time. if you're not compatible, you can get back to fishing..if you are, well...then let the good times roll!p.s.s isn't it common courtesy to respond to a person who says hi to you? when in public, do you just rudely turn your back and walk away when someone says hi? why is it ok to do it on here? if someone takes the time to drop you a line, the least you could do is respond with a NO THANK YOU if you're not interested. A first date can be anything from a drive in the country, a walk in the park, dinner, or just an ice cream cone. But, it's important to be in a public place until we are both comfortable.
